We saw Captain Michaelas from the road and thought it looked interesting enough to warrant a visit. We also wanted a pizza. It turned out to be a hit, and we will definitely be going back again. Tip: 1/2 kilo of house red is an awesome way to cool down after a day in the sun.

We went here and ordered pizzas. We waited literally hours for them - which with 2 young hungry children is not ideal. The old chap who runs it is really nice but the chef didn't seem able to cope - which is a real shame. I hope we just got it on a bad night.

The old boy had talked to us a couple of times as we went passed so thought we'd give it a go and had dinner. He seems to have a set banter for people which soon started to wear thin. When asked about what was in some of the dishes he just said "it's a surprise" and wouldn't say any... More

Ok.......... Captain Michael is totally nuts. Yes.......... the wine can be drunk in volume without the danger of intoxication No...........The building doesn't look to have ever troubled itsself with EU building regs But...........All the food is produced just up the road on the captains smallholding, is delicious and devoid of the local scourge of oven chips!

We walked past several times because it looked ramshackle - but really glad we did visit. Good local produce well cooked - the owner claimed that he trod the grapes for the wine himself. A very nice evening.

Terrible service and really bad food. We were served after 45 min of waiting. The pizzas we had were frozen industrial pizzas from the supermarket with canned mushrooms. It had nothing to do with the "home made pizzas" as promised by the server. As per the other food we ordered, kleftiko and moussakas were not good enough for the price... More

What can I say ? The restaurant looks like a run down shack from one angle. The owner is a real character. The seemingly watered down wine is served in battered copper type jugs that look like they have been kicked around the floor. The food wasn't bad at all, however we didn't receive the starters we ordered. The owner... More

This is a gem of a place! We have eaten here many, many times over the years and captain greets us as old friends! It is real Greece, rustic, traditional and never changes. The food is authentic, simple and the fresh fish is cooked to perfection. We ate here 4 time in 2 weeks. We watch tourists look in and... More

Don't be put off by the rustic appearance from the outside. The owner is very quirky and chatty, but once you get to know him he's a good laugh. He is often there in the morning / lunchtime as you pass to go to the beach, but this place comes to life at night and the food is wholesome and... More
