Very good value for money, wide selection of dishes available on the menu, something for everyone. Complimentary drink on arrival - nice welcoming touch. Captain makes everyone feel welcome, the overhead vines can be problem for some with mosquitoes etc- but we did not have any issues. tried the mixed selection platter for 10 euro- very generous portion of local... Had chicken fillet in mushroom & garlic sauce with garlic mushrooms as a side. Also had chicken breast in pepper sauce. The mains were very good but the garlic mushrooms were the best i have had. If you like garlic you will love these. Also have a good house red that is worth trying,

A warm welcome and choice of tables was a great start, the giant beans where the best I had all holiday, and the fried squid was enormous and delicious. Other half had a mixed greek main and the stuff pepper I tried was lovely. A great value, typically Greek taverna. Good food, great environment.

We stopped off at this taverna to get out of the midday sun and were pleasantly surprised, The owner was lovely and friendly, we enjoyed some lovely homemade food and some equally nice house white and cold beers, very nice

Favourite place in skiathos so far. Pizza lovely. Service spot on. Very friendly. Feel like I am in Greece in a lovely taverna. Far too many trying to label themselves fine dining and charge more. Really? Lol! Xx

This place is just round the corner from our complex. Friendly staff, food was lovely, my calamari starter and lamb kleftiko was spot on. The four of us had starters, main course and two shared puddings with two beers each was just short or €100. Well worth it will return.

We have visited this area many times over the years and this was our first time at Captain Nikos'. We were pleasantly surprised. The place itself is very traditional Greek with its small blue table and chairs and Greek music in the background. We received a friendly welcome along with a small glass of ouzo. The food was really good... More
