Ate here for lunch when on a day trip to Furnas. . As the tour operator booked us in here. Packed at lunch so perhaps big with tour groups, locals But food was was not fresh, nor characterful, nor tasty. Avoid. . . . Stodgy, yucky.

We came here for lunch to try the cozido. You should have reservations for this as the quantities are limited, but there is often extra and they accommodated us in spite of our lack of reservation. We were there just prior to the lunch rush and were able to get a table on their outside balcony, which was nice. The... More

We had the cozido traditional meal, it was pretty good. The service is great and they have a wide variety of wine.

We called in here when visiting the local area to try the local stew cooked in the geothermal heat locally. The restaurant was absolutely packed with a mixture of large family groups as well as tourists. The service in the restaurant was OK and the local stew was an experience to try! It was worth experiencing the stew, but had... More

Arrived 15 mins before the end of service in the evening - we received a welcome reception. It's a long day for these guys - apparently they get 300 - 400 covers in a usual lunchtime service! The first impression is a very touristy place, but there were few people in the restaurant when we arrived. Great fresh cheese and... More

We got there half hour before closing and the waitress acted as if she didn't want us there because she wanted to go home. Everyone else was helpful and the food was very good

Very busy and noisy. Poor to average food and service. Overrated Centrally situated and used by large groups - hence the noise

The food was just OK. The service less than just OK. Some people at our table ordered items off the menu (we speak Portuguese so there was no language barrier). They brought the wrong dishes, such as fried chicken instead of grilled, and then we asked about it the waiter came back and rather angrily argued with us claiming that... More
