We visited this restaurant 3 times in 2 weeks because the food was delicious and service was great! The shrimp and garlic was so good I had it on two occasions. The steak was also cooked perfectly and very tasty. Dieter and Claudia treated us like kings! If you are in Agua de pau I recommend that you make this... More

We went there to eat dinner. Mussels (lapas) as starter and grilled fish as main. Food was good, service was good. Speaking only English was not a problem, like anywhere on the island. Nice terrace and view to a small soccer field for kids. Family type place with descent food and wines.

Walked up the hill from Caloura to this resturant - was nice food, big portions and a great building (a balcony you can sit on making for a nice experince on a warm evening). The wreckfish was delicious. Be careful as its not open on a Monday evening! We walked up here one evening and found it closed so just... More

Goid choice of meat or fish well cooked in nice surroundings. I picked the house steak which was excellent. Good views from the 1st floor area.

Our service was exceptional. Explanations of menu was clear and concise by our waiter made us feel at home. Even though the restaurant may have not been in the best location when you set upstairs the atmosphere is was pleasantly relaxing. The wreckfish was so flaky and surprisingly tasty. The limpets were the best on all of São Miguel. Definitely... More

The staff are very nice. The food is not the best in the area, but it is good. It is typical for the area.

Friendly staff who could answer questions we had about the meal (in English). I had ribs with baked beans which was filling and full of flavour, my boyfriend had chicken breast which was also good. The portions were huge.

Agua de Pau is not a very touristic village, and this restaurant offers very good fish and seafood. Riz marisco was very good, also the polvo assado. Nice sitting on the terrace on the first floor.

This restaurant is an unheralded gem! Two of us had 3 courses plus an excellent bottle of wine from Pico for 42Euro. Service (English well-spoken) was prompt, friendly and helpful. Compared to a "prominent" restaurant in Lagoa ("Bord a Mar") where we'd gone the previous day, this was a gourmet meal. It's a shame it's not listed!
