Our Sunset dinner at this restaurant was very memorable. Every course was beautifully presented & delicious. Mahi Mahi entrée was amazing. Chefs from France are are exceptionally skilled in blending fresh local ingredients.

Truly a beautiful dinner spot to share with someone special, so romantic. Food was incredible Book early as this a spot you will not want to miss
We were really excited about trying this restaurant and talked about it all day. We wanted to be seated for the sunset so we made sure to be on time. We arrived at 5:50 for our 6 dinner reservation and told to wait outside- ok...but could have been done more politely. They block the doors with a sofa so we waited outside- 1 star. At 6 they seated us and the service was top notch. The view is amazing and our waiter- Neely was friendly, kind, and professional- he gets 5 stars. The other gentleman who brought the rolls also gets 5 stars. Really great service. The food was disappointing and I would not try it again. 1 star. I was anxious to try a Michelin chef but I did not care for any of it. For desert- The waiter Neely suggested we try black sesame sorbet and that was really good. He took some great photos of us and was the highlight of the restaurant. Thank you Neely and your staff for a great experience- disappointing food but good service.More

Hoping our experience wasn't the norm but the service here was horrendous the night my husband and I dined during our honeymoon. It was so bad that even without us complaining, our server apologized at the end of our meal. I appreciated his acknowledgement that...there were issues, but we still left feeling overwhelmed and annoyed. Food was pretty good but the bad service overshadowed the setting. There was a pretty bad downpour which also put a damper on things. We were excited to dine here but if ever in Tahiti again we will absolutely not return.More
This dining experience was unforgettable in every respect. Situated in an intimate open air thatched roof bungalow overlooking the lagoon, the restaurant featured elegant cuisine using fresh fish and other locally sourced products. The preparation was sophisticated and creative without being fussy, simply the skill...of a top chef at the peak of his game. The attentive staff rounded out a spectacular experience.More

We celebrated the first night of our honeymoon here. Incredible food and service! The small bites that were given out before the apps were our favorite things.
Dear heathwill8920, greetings from InterContinental Tahiti Resort & spa ! Glad to read you had a wonderful experience at our Le Lotus Restaurant, and we do hope to have the pleasure to welcoming you back in the future. Most sincerely. Guest relation manager
While staying at the Intercontinental, we decided to try the upscale Le Lotus having used the main restaurant several times and wanting something different. Of course the setting is very nice, even if the music they played during the dinner sounded like the soundtrack from...an episode of SpongeBob. My wife had the Chef's signature fish which was nothing special. The main restaurant's catch with vanilla sauce was far better. I had the filet mignon which was a nice cut but cooked more like medium rare, then medium. The rest of the sides etc. were fine. Both our desserts were truly excellent. The service was fine except when I ordered a second iced tea, well, there was no ice and it was room temperature. I should have sent it back considering that it was 600 xpf a glass which seems pretty ridiculous for an iced tea. So in summary, I would say as a "high end" experience, I would have expected better. Le Lotus - while not "bad" - certainly was not "Great" and certainly not for the price charged.More

We came here in May 2021 when we were staying at the Intercontinental. This was the only restaurant that was open so we gave it a try. The location is awesome, the majority of the restaurant is over water and has great views. The ambiance...and decor was incredible - 5 stars for that. The service was eh - for the price/cost we were paying we expected a bit more. We got there right at 630 when they opened because we were starving. When we arrived no one was at the front so we waited a few minutes. Finally someone came out and said they werent ready to open and to give them a few minutes. They ended up opening at 640 - not a big deal but it was a little odd to see a restaurant at a hotel late to open. Service was why i gave them the 3 stars - the waiter was ok but he was quite snooty and not very kind/welcoming. Considering the prices you're paying you'd expect better service. It almost felt like we were an annoyance for being there. We noticed two other couples came in who he was much kinder and attentive to. I think because we were "younger", we werent given the same respect. We noticed that quite a bit on Tahiti. Food was good, they basically have a pre-fix menu where you can choose between appetizer, entrée and dessert or appetizer and entrée or entrée and dessert. The dessert we got was AMAZING and the best thing we ate in Tahiti. Just wish the service was a bit better.More

Gorgeous view and location. The food was excellent. The service was really slow and could use some tweaking, but they were very pleasant and even brought us girls wraps when they saw we were cold. We came without reservations to celebrate my girlfriend’s birthday. Food was ok - but for what one reasonably should expect for this nice place with high prices and limited food selection - it was not enough. We considered why we did not make a rating...of 4 - and found that it is because we would not recommend our friends to come unless food prices were better reflecting the level. Service was good, and they kindly came with a free birthday “cake” to my girlfriend. Thank you ;-). But again, for what to expect - not enough. We are sure they can do better - but it was not on our visit.More
