We were here as a family of 5 in August. The owner collected us from our hotel - ambassador Aegean and dropped us home again after the meal. The restaurant is very pretty - the entrance is great for photos, and we ate on a...solid rock patio area surrounded by the sea. It was so pretty. The fish dishes were delicious, grilled to perfection. Wide choice of drinks and food. Really good service from all the staff. A very enchanting evening.More

No sunset view, but You really eat on the sea. The quality of food was quote good, but nothing astonishing. The fish of the day was very salty and uneatable, but when We said it to the waiter je kindly offered us to take something...else. It’s shame that when the bill arrived we found the uneatable fish on the bill, which coasted twice the second choice we took. Honestly not adviced.More

The staff was nice, the food was good, the view and the sea sound are unique. The bathroom was a bit messy and the kitchen looked a bit weird but at the end we received some free digestive drink

We visited this restaurant after reading Trip advisor reviews. It did not disappoint. The setting is stunning and so peaceful and starts everything off perfectly. Then the excellent, friendly service adds to the experience, the literally treat you like old friends. We didn't really need...the menu as our waiter helped us choosing the fish and perfect starters and drinks. Then the food arrives...the best fish I have ever eaten anywhere in the world. It was so good that after the starter we decided to book for a second visit during our stay. I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough. We shall be back next year!More

We had this restaurant recommended by our hotel. The owner came and collected us and dropped us back so saved on taxi’s. Menu is extensive and a wide choice of seafood. Cocktail menu was good but the cocktails themselves need quite a lot of improvement...but they are really passable as good quality drinks. We went for the beef carpaccio and mussels to start with, both delicious. Mains we had the beef burgers (served with no buns) and the stuffed squid. The burgers were a little overdone and dry but the stuffed squid was really tasty, a tad overdone as well though. Ordered the cheesecake for dessert, strange as it contained no cheese, just whipped cream top. Overall view was nice and food was good.More

This restaurant was recommended by our hotel and we’re glad they did. We were collected and dropped back after our meal (free of charge) - an indication of the level of service offered by Asterias. We were seated on a jetty with a beautiful view...out to sea, overlooking the moored boats. The food and service were great. Four of us fancied fresh fish and we were presented with a tray of freshly caught fish (sea bass, sea bream and red snapper) to chose from. We went for a large sea bass and sea bream, together with a green salad. Beautifully prepared, cooked and presented. After our meal we were presented with a choice of complimentary liqueurs in beautiful bottles to try. Perfect end to a perfect meal.More

Simply amazing, we couldn’t have asked for more. Asterias was recommended to us by our hotel manager and so we booked a table for our first night in Santorini. After the beautiful evening we new we would be back and booked a table for our...last night as well. The restaurant owner was so friendly and professional and even fetched and dropped us (free off charge) to and from our hotel both evenings. He definitely made sure we had a great experience from start to finish. The restaurant’s location is simply picturesque. The tables are on a concrete jetty which makes you feel like you are in the sea, just you and the others at your table. We sipped delicious wine and ate the most amazing food as we watched the sun set and the moon rise around us. The service was impeccable, every waiter wanting to make sure you had the best evening. There was no “up-selling” or expectations for us to spend a fortune either, they simply wanted you to have a good time. Spending a fortune, would have been hard as Asterias was definitely the best restaurant we went to in Greece when it came to value for money. On both times we left thinking “we would have happily paid more” I couldn’t possibly recommend this place more! If you visit make sure to have the mussels, octopus or mixed seafood selection. However, I am sure no matter what you order you will be blown away.More

Very expensive for very common food. First they bring you a bit of tapenade and 4 pcs of bread that they toasted two days ago. What a surprise that they invoice this famous « bread dip » that was not asked and not good 4€.. clearly a...joke. Then I took a mushroom and truffle risotto that was clearly just not enough cooked. It was only rice with a bit of cream ... I m still looking for the truffle and risotto taste. My girlfriend took shrimp spaghetti..two shrimp and pasta...clearly not wow. To resume you pay for the view that is the only good point here. Very disappointed and I m wondering from where are coming all those good reviews..More

I know they close some time during the winter, but October might still be fine. It is best to call or email to make sure.
