Great atmosphere, it was entertaining, intense, fun. Maybe not for everybody, but we enjoyed it a lot.

This was quite an interesting restaurant because the service is unique. They try to imitate the medieval service so their language is a bit unpolished to say the least. 😊 The food is good , the prices are average.
Brilliant food, interesting atmosphere. Kudos for capturing medieval spirit. Definitely worth visiting!
Well, the loccation is nice. It took forever until the food arrived, in the meantime there were some medival shows. But it was too much one after another. No time to talk or relax. In that room the instruments were really loud, so it was...close to become annoying. The fire and snake guy was in my opinion inappropriate. Making fun of people who obviously don't understand a word czech is just no good style. He tried to get kisses on the cheek and then turned his head to be kissed on the mouth. The ladies affected seemed to be close to punch him. During the show in the other room the door of our room was locked, so that we had to wait for a restroom visit. The food was ok, but basically meat. Only a few tables got potatoes as side dish. The vegetarian meals came at least 30 min earlier than the meat dishes. The waiters just dropped the drinks for the whole table at the beginning of the table so that we had to spread them ourselves, that appeared a bit rude... I think i wouldn't go there againMore
Our Czech friends took us here for a night out, they said we would have fun in the finding the staff rude when serving us which they were but we found it funny as this is what they are supposed to do. The place inside...was very authentic it looked amazing. The food was mainly meat, ribs chicken and steak 🥩 and was absolutely delicious 😋 We had a fantastic time. Well worth a visitMore
You would like to experience some unusual cool restaurant experience? Choose Krcma Detenice! I am Czech but live in the States. I took my American boyfriend there. 1. You mostly eat with hands 2. no light - only candles 3. Medieval settings - so beautiful,...you think you are back in time. 4. Service - they using old Czech language so it is bit rude - sometimes they over do it and it is very rude. On the other hands, tourists don't understand. 5. Typical Czech food - pork, duck, pork knee, ribs, dumplings.. Heavy but highly recommended! Overview: the restaurant is middle of nowhere but it has its own charm. You have brewery, hotel, attractions there. Highly recommended! Not only food is so good but the atmosphere is once a life experience.More
Great medieval themed restaurant with an amazing medieval show from 7-10 PM, reservations are recommended. When staying as a guest in the hotel, the reservation for the dinner show is automatically made. The restaurant is very dark, and lit by large candles. We had a...to use our cell phones to light up the menu and later on the food as well. We chose the pate, and then a stewed beef rib that was served with a small salad and a small loaf of bread.Nothing special about the food, however the show is amazing. Sword fights, beheading, torture, balancing plates on poles, wenches dancing on tables, a man with a python around his neck and many more.More
Dark old medieval pub with matching interior, staff behaviour and food. There is also a medieval show during the night, they entertain guests even take them into the play. The atmosphere was great! We really enjoyed it.
We was there with friends, our driver sugested us to govthere, we were surprized from the place, there was great show, the food and the beer is traditional.
It's a unique experience, a middle age themed restaurant, but maybe not suitable for everyone. If you are thinking to visit this place, leave away all the expectation regarding a conventional restaurant. Here the atmosphere is unique, dark, noisy and smelly. Is not the right...lace for a romantic dinner or a business meeting. Here is about enjoying something different, the music, the dancers over the tables where guests are eating, the fire shows etc. Regarding food, it's ok, but once again, not his best side, the people that visits this restaurant for sure is because of the atmosphere and show not for the food. The service is average, not all the food come at the same time to the table. not all the time we can call a server, but is ok, once again, is for the experience and the atmosphere. worth a visit and go with an open mind, and then you will take your own conclusions.More
After four years we visited this medieval restaurant. The food has a higher quality and also staff are more professional. Vocabulary of waiters are better than they were, it means not too many vulgar words like it was in past. Generarly i recommend this restaurant...because offers are totally different than usuall. Behind restaurant there are located horses teater/ historical performance or brewery + offers two styles of hotel.More
Interesting (and historically authentic) as much as the Jurassic Park ride at Disneyworld. Interesting ambiance, artificially rude "medieval" staff.
The first time I have been in this place was in 2009. After 8 years, I was able to visit the restaurant last week. In 8 years, I saw that the restaurant kept it's quality very well, food, drinks and the shows are great, the...atmosphere is very cool. What has changed is the behaviors of the tourists and how selfish we became with the development of technology. Today, during the shows, you will find people following the shows, standing in front of it, making their own selfies, recording videos and you are not able to enjoy the show fully while sitting at your table. This harms the unique atmosphere of the restaurant and you just find yourself again in the technology era with selfish and stupid tourists rather than the middle age.More
I have visited this restaurant before and loved it. This time utterly disappointed. It was ten of us, lunchtime, they brought half dishes out, half an hour later two more and I got mine 45 mins after the first lot. One of the dishes missed...something on the plate so they had to bring it separately. For the price they charge, just absolutely awful. And the boys serving much better character than the girls - miserable lot. Go elsewhere if you want lunch. Dinner programme is great and quality of the food too but the service 👎👎👎 needs a step up big time.More
Perfect old time atmosphere you feel like in 13th century. Service, meal and very good beer. Also affordable price. Waiters and waitresses use dictionary and speaking like in middle ages.
