Although this is an unlicensed premise do not let that put you off, the food is excellent with genuine Indian flavors. It is very reasonably priced or more like very cheap in comparison to nearby restaurants. Lots of local families use the restaurant which is a very good guide to the standard of food

We bought take a way food from this outlet for two times and the first time, the seafood rice was really good so I couldn't wait to have more. The second time, we went in really late and the seafood rice and a biriyani took more than 50 minutes to be prepared. We went home with it and found that the seafood rice was not even half as good as last time, with very little seafood (if they ran out of ingredients, they should have told us so).

Very good value and lovely Indian curry

This is an unpretentious friendly Indian Restaurant away from the main tourist areas. The food was delicious, proper authentic Indian cuisine. We had vegetable curry, Prawn curry drinks and a garlic nan plus rice and the cost was very reasonable. Less than 5000Slr. Our waiter Shan was very nice and ensured we were well looked after. Can definitely recommend for good food at a very reasonable cost.

We are regular clients for kandoori and we love the place since 7 years. Always staff were so great and was very helpful. Even in covid time, we used to go there. As a staff member of a famous star hotel in Bentota, I always encouraged our guests to try your naan & food, when they asked suggestions from us. That much we loved your food and service which was exceptional. But unfortunately i went there last evening around 10.00pm and orderd some food and requested a glass of hot water as i used to drink hot water as a habit. The new manager was there and he said he will attend. But later on, when i asked for it, he informed me that one on water line has damaged and not able to give me a glass of water. Untill i asked the same, no ane appier to say so. If they can't give, they could informed me while i made the request. If im a new customer, of course I trust their lie. But as a regular customer, i know this was stopped by new manager. We never had such inconvenience before here. I think it is more about the little of service which should be considered.

Very poor service and disappointing!!

We visited this restaurant tonight and experienced extremely poor service. Upon arrival, all tables were booked, so we waited patiently as the cashier assured us they would arrange a table for us. However, after a long wait, we saw that people who arrived after us were being seated at available tables. When we finally tried to take a table that became free, we were told it was reserved for those who arrived later. This was incredibly frustrating and left us feeling very disappointed. We left the restaurant immediately after that and won’t waste our time here again. The service is clearly disorganized and unfair. We won’t be returning, and I would not recommend this place to anyone.

If you like Indian, Thai or other oriental food you have come to the right place. The meat chop suey was delicious and with fresh ingredients. The chicken 65 and the chicken kadai were nice and spicy. The red thay curry prawns is also recommended. The service (Shan) is very friendly.

Will never visit again

Takes lots of money and give very less quantity of food. Visited 4 times within last one and half months, once for dining and 3 times for takeaway. Noticeably the food quantity has gone down, not worth for money. Though the food quality is still good, will never visit again. Coz it should be quality + quantity for what you pay.

This is a false claim as we never have change our food quantity, the quantity is same and our price is same since 2020 January, according to current prices in the market we haven’t change the menu price due to current pandemic situation. First meal from here although we live close by, we popped in ordered and returned to collect 30 minutes later. It was easy to order, and collect and it was ready. Staff helpful and polite. Knowledgeable and a very pleasant experience. The food was very well cooked, and plentiful i would recommend and have to say the paratha was one of he best I’ve had. Will definitely be using this regularly

Indian restaurant. Prices are average or even slightly lower. The food is delicious, there is both very spicy and not very spicy. The truth is that Indian design is missing. And the toilet needs fixing. Overall, we were pleased.

Kandoori Chicken Biryani not tastier as their advertise. One portion not enough for even single person. I have tried other menu's too those also not worth for money. Completely loss of money and valuable time. I suggest to buy from roadside basic hotel.
