Stumbled upon Dimitris on a walk, Dimitris was so welcoming and the place has a very authentic family feel to it. We sat outside and had a tuna salad and some drinks all pretty reasonable priced and the service was so friendly. Great views of...the marina below.More
We love this Taverna. The Owners Stella & Dimitris & their 2 children are always welcoming . They remember what we like to eat & drink too.
The views here are superb &as you are right about the port, at Around 3 pm every day...the Tourist Catamarns head out to take their trippers to the Caldera to see the famous Santorini Sunset but in all honesty the sunset here as you will see from my photo is absolutely amazing. If you are not a good sailor then I recommend you come here to watch.
Onto the food - there is something for everybody but being above the Port the Fish is Fantastic. We got addicted to their Mussels in garlic sauce starter. We eat lots of salads & there Santorini salad is excellent, we dined on Dorado Fish, Sea Bass, Swordfish & ate lamb chops, pork steaks, veal steaks & so much more.
Every Tuesday & Wednesday there is live Music so why not visit on one of those days & then you get the Bouzouki music & the Sunset Too !More
We visited Santorini in June, 2020, so the island had very few tourists due to travel restrictions. We were the only guests at the taverna as we ate. The owner was our server and he did everything he could to make our dinner enjoyable. The...food was excellent; the view was great over Vlychada harbor. Be sure to order the tomato balls -- some of the best we tasted on the island. My wife had fish and I had calamari -- both good choices. Vegetables had sufficient olive oil without swimming in it -- good balance.More
Dimitris taverna was recommended to us from our Airbnb host. We had a great time there , food was nice , wine and beer also . Not very expensive compared to others places in Santorini and at the time we visited, the area was calm...a peaceful away from tourists.More
