Food is very basic here, the menu lists a choice of meat or fish with no description of what else will be on your plate. There was also little choice for vegetarians. The younger waiter is very friendly, however the older waiter not so much. If you appreciate good food, I would recommend visiting other restaurants on the island. If... More

It is recommended that you visit this restaurant early in the evening, as more than 2 of the dishes were not available, but you can order in advance. I had the Podgy, which was the fish of the day, but delicious. My husband had the sirloin steak which again was very well cooked. Would definitely eat here again.

Excellent fresh fish and tender meat at very good price: 3 adults x 2 courses each plus wine 65 €. Lovely bread. Pleasant service.

We enjoyed a Friday evening meal here. The restaurant is built in a cave at the base of the sea cliffs and right by the quiet little harbour. We sat outside on a balmy evening. We had the catch of the day from the small boats working out of the harbour; well two different fish actually. I had Vieja (Parrot... More

We had been recommended this restaurant as the local hotel restaurant where we were staying was not suitable. So glad! The food was great, fresh fish, prawns and steaks and an exceptional good octopus starter. One complaint, there was too much. Portions very generous. Excellent selection of wines and extremely well priced. Shame its not closer!! Restaurant is built into... More

Our host at Apartemento Bellavista recommended this restaurant and it was really good. Inside the restaurant looks at a cave. Since it was a warm evening we decided to sit outside and that was okey. We had a delicios dish with fresh fish, canary potatoes and lovely wine. If you ever come to Playa de Santiago you just cant miss... More

It's a few years since I visited this restaurant. It's charm of being carved out of the hillside is ever present. The menu pricing is good as are the wines. However both the menu and wine list were relatively narrow in their range of offerings. This maybe is reflected in the very competitive pricing. Wines were sumptuous. Martin Codax Albariño... More

I ate at La Cuevita twice last week as it is la lovely place to sit and have a leisurely lunch. The food is good, not notable but it is fresh and well cooked. There is a good choice. The setting is lovely - at the far end of the promenade, opposite a boatyard. The fishing boats come in 100... More

Fantastic Gazpacho served with the correct croutons and bits to add in. Tasted Devine. Followed by chopitos and fried fish of the day. Fab. Three generations of the same family that run the restaurant where there. It was great to see the interaction between them. Not a grumpy member of staff in site.

We had 3 steaks and 1 king prawns. All really good. Thoroughly recommend this place. Set on the road side in a cave! Good prices. All agreed it was very good quality food. The Creme Caramel was to die for!!!
