Encouraged by the positive opinions, we went to try Mousaka, and we also took the Pastitsada. It was amazing food, service was very friendly. I sincerely recommend, it is a must-see place during your vacation.

Few minutes drive from Paleokastitsa. Visited for an evening family meal after a day on the beach and visiting the monastery. They relaxed and warm welcome, I don't like pushy service and will usually walk away from it, so this was really nice. Welcoming and...very lively atmosphere. Overheard different languages but the place was mostly full with greeks dinning in which is a good sign. The place opposite was completely empty during our entire evening whereas at Elizabeth a few large tables of families dinning in and a few passing in and out just for drinks and light bites. Food service was unique, how lively and the manor of it might put some people off but you just need to embrace the cultural differences. Menu was in Greek and English. We ordered greek salad to share, a soublaki dish, lamb, fish and beers. The baklava desert served with roasted apples and cream was phenomenal - the best one we had all week. Food was great and very generously priced. People have had mixed reviews about this, but our salads arrived as a starter as we wanted and mains promptly after. Worth a visit for the food and inviting atmosphere. I would update some of the decor a bit.More
The food is very nice here and has a wide range to choose from. The staff are the friendliest staff I’ve ever came across and the village the taverna is located in is beautiful. Lovely setting and overall great experience. Will 100% return this year...and would recommend.More
Great vegetarian options (even with some of the menu not available as it is the end of the season). Food was really fresh and delicious. The owner is friendly and told us about the history of the restaurant which was opened in 1960 and still...uses the same recipes today . The village itself is also lovely. Best meal we had during our stay in Corfu and cheap!More
Love the village and the food was good. All the wine is undrinkable though and there is no average or good alternative. Main and starters all arrived at one so overall not a great experience. We won’t be going back.
We stumbled across this restaurant today and it made our day. Lovely setting, warm welcome, delicious home cooked food. The dolmades were so tasty. 100% recommended!
Amazing food, good atmosphere. We tried different dips (aubergine, Tzatziki, fish dip) and they were all amazing. The local cheese (saganaki) was great, though wouldn't recommend the special one, bit too oily.
What a beautiful place about 15 minutes away from paleo. Awesome tiny village, Grandmother recipes, just outsiding good ! Owners were very nice and took care of us. I recommend sofrito 👌🏼
Went there on our first day at Corfu. The village certainly has a nice atmosphere, but I would rate the food as average. The house wine was bad.
We pick this restaurant based by reviews and it was amazing. The staff that you will find there will be very kind. We took a Greek salad, and fried calamari with potatoes. Also try the tzatsiki, is very very good!!! We have big portions and...payd for everything 27 euro. Was a pleasure after a long day spended on the beach. You need to go there!More
Great family food- super fresh produce. The people are extremely nice and the restaurant feels very familiar. Would definitely come back here.
warm welcome, lovely people, great food, good wine. the mixed grill is the jewel in the crown, but Be Hungry!
Good food and friendly staff in a lovely village setting. Service not great, on one evening the waiter brought 3 people's starters but mine took another 5 minutes, The same happened with the main courses.
I ate here 2 times. Delicous food. for Lunch I had Elizabeth Special ( Omelett, Baked Cheese and Fries). We ordered Dinner I had greek Salad, Moussaka, my wife tried Souflaki. House wine ( white) tastes good.
We found this typical Greek taverna just by chance and we decided to try it for dinner. Lucky us! Food was great and portions were abundant, especially the moussaka, that was simply amazing! The restaurant is located in this little village, Doukades, overlooking the square,...where the locals were enjoying their evening. We loved the location and for that day we felt part of the community We had such a great experience and we suggest everyone to come here and try their local food!More
