Right thing at the right time. Wondering around Skopelos hillside found this gem of a cafe. Had fresh orange juice which appeared to be squeezed on request. The elderly couple were most attentive and polite and I didn’t see any rudeness that other reviewers had...previously wrote. 6 euros might seem steep to some but the freshness of the drink was worth itMore

We were on a boat trip from Skiathos to Skopelos town and we were in our way to the castle and found some seating so sat down for what was only going to be 1 minute and the grumpy old man come up to me,...he said beer? so my dad said yes okay as we felt obliged bcos we were sat in his bar, I then said I was fine and he wouldn’t allow it so I said I’d have some water, he said he only had sparkling I said it was fine and then he proceeds to say he has stunning views and I’m not allowed to sit here with €1 water. I was so disgusted I I said don’t worry then we will leave! We were the only ones there as well. He obviously doesn’t want any customer or tourists and he made us feel awful for helping out his business. I wouldn’t recommend, just walk straight on by and don’t acknowledge him as he is so rude.More

By coincidence we stumbled into this magical spot of Skopelos town. We were just climbing the Kastro of Skopelos, sweating in the afternoon sun with 33 degrees Celsius, when we arrived at what would become our recreational space for the rest of our vacation -...Thalassa. We have been welcomed by the owner who is clearly proud that a photo of his beautiful cafè is featured in a German travel guide. With a stunning view over the wild sea and accompanied with classical music from Bach to Brahms we enjoyed freshly pressed orange and lemon juices. We came back seven (sic!) times at different times of the day - each time the place fascinated us with its ever-changing scenic views. Thank you so much to the whole family, you own a true gem in Skopelos! Looking forward to coming back one day!More

We decided to climb the steps past the church of the Virgin Mary (why oh why!). Given it was a relatively cloudy/cooler morning - it’s still a climb. Imagine our delight at coming across this beautiful bar near the top with stunning views. The people...are delightful and the setting just great. Not cheap but good value when you need a stop off! The cast of Mamma Mia have also been here as the photo evidence is displayed inside the bar itself (which is as being as the space under most peoples’ stairs!). Such a great vibe/atmosphere. A must visit in Scopelos.More

The freshly made orange and lemon juices were amazing and just what we needed after reaching the top of the hill on this very hot day. The view is spectacular. We were served by two nice older gentlemen. On this day it was only possible...to pay in cash, but it was no problem for us. Looking at the photos of the delicious looking food we regret that we did not also have something to eat. Hope to visit the place some day again!More

I highly don't recommend this place. The owner is very rude. Everytime the bar is empty because of the behavior of the old man, probably the most unsuccessful businessperson of the island. Try to read also the Google Reviews and do yourself a favor, avoid...this place. We were 5 person and for the moment we wanted to order for 3 only, one cocktail and two fresh orange. The other two they were taking pictures and they didn't want for the moment. He make a long face, I ask him if it is a problem and he said: yes, you ordered 3 thing and you are 5 people. The whole place was empty. Also they are not giving a menu, they speak the menu and after you get the table, they said that you can pay only cash.More

A beautiful terrace with views to die for however the owner was suffering from grumpy old man syndrome. Just after we sat down he shouted at a passing tourist that he shouldn’t be taking pictures without asking permission and told him to leave. After we...asked for a coke which he didn’t have he refused to serve my wife a sparkling water. We were forced to leave still thirsty with him muttering about the English and Germans (even though we are Scots) We have just spent 10 days on this gorgeous island and everyone we have met has been so friendly and wonderful. He is just a horrible old man and thankfully an isolated exception. Would avoid this place at all costs.More

Came here by chance, and were enthustiastic about the view, we decided to sit and have a cocktail each. First of all I recommend to have a drink here only in order to properly enjoy the view. If you are looking for good cocktails, don...t. We ordered a margarita which was waterish and tasteless and a fresh fruit daiquiri which was in my opinion very good, so go for that one. It s a cash only place and it s pricey. Each cocktail costs 9€ (it s the kind of price we have in Belgium), but ok, I know greeks are not huge drinkers and all drinks taken in any bar costs quite a lot. Regarding the staff, well, it s a family business, but we felt as we were actually bothering them with our presence, as this is already our 7th year in a row we spend our holidays in greece, it is not something ever happened to us.More

The view and atmosphere are amazing. Unfortunately getting up there in the morning or afternoon is a torture. There is little to no shade on the way up there and the heat on the terrace is too high. I guess later afternoon or early evening...is the best time to go there, before the sunset. The juices are ok, quite watery though. The prices are too high, be careful what you're ordering, check the pricelist first. I felt sorry for the old couple working there, they were struggling to cope with the heat... All in all, a great place to relax if you are alone or a couple before your dinner.More

Came to this small cafe bar after a very hot walk uphill in the old town (trying to find the castle ruins!) We asked for water but were told we could not be served just water, at €1. We then ordered a fresh orange juice,...which was lovely but were shocked at the price of €7 for one juice and one bottle of water! Yes, the view was wonderful but left with an unpleasant impression at the rip-off price!More

We stumbled upon this little gem in the midst of the midday sun while trekking around the old port. With two sun weary children in tow we thought we’d stop for a quick drink here. The children both had the banoffee milkshake and we had...the fresh lemonade and they were all delicious (especially the milkshakes! ) I would recommend this place especially if it is quiet as it was lovely just sat looking at the fabulous view. It is a tad more expensive than other places (€22 for the 4 drinks) but the drinks are fresh and the view is to die for!More

We had coffee at this place, great view however no freddo coffees (the owner told us straight away) and the frappe we had was full of water and milk and the least coffee possible, we couldn't drink it! The Greek coffee was OK but very...expensive, the most expensive Greek coffee and Frappe we ever had in Greece (3.5 euros each).More

Delightful place outside the crowd with a peaceful point of view, well-prepared cocktails and welcoming owners. A time outside the time where olders come to seat on the bench.

As a location this place is hard to beat in Skopelos town: a terrace under two mulberry trees overlooking the sea. There are several potted plants around and one sits in folding chairs. When we arrived, there was first classical music in the background, which...later changed to international pop. A pretty old looking man took our orders. My wife's fresh orange juice was okay, my glass of white wine not of the best quality and not really cold. When asking to pay (no regular bill, just a round amount of 10 €) the man in charge saw my German guidebook on the Northern Sporades and then showed me a picture inside of his terrace without the place's name being mentioned.More

We visited here for a light lunch after a strenuous walk to the top of Skopelos Town. The views over the town and sea are wonderful and the setting is magical. It's a small courtyard with tables and chairs set out under trees. We had...a couple of Mythos beers (a bowl of nuts came with this) and ordered some sparkling water (Sauroti which came in a tin - quite pricey but a good flavour). We then shared a Greek salad which came with rusks rather than bread and contained herbs from the owners' garden including some delicious capers. It wasn't overly big but was a bit different, in a good way, from the usual Greek salad. Classical music was playing quietly. We didn't have anything else but there were several interesting-sounding fresh juices on the small menu. Nice loos are downstairs from the small inside area. Definitely worth going if you make it up the hills.More
