this place is really beautiful. Small and cosy restaurant. The food comes second I guess.. It isn't that good. Prices are ok and the staff is ok as well.

During our stay in Skopelos we visited this restaurant twice as the food was very good and the host very friendly. It is in the backstreets from the port area which makes it a little quieter and more romantic. We had the pork with plums and the lamb and both dishes were Devine. I would recommend a visit to this... More

We visited 3 times in 2 weeks on our holiday. Food is top notch, very relaxed atmosphere, no rush.. Just chill and enjoy. Had a fantastic starter today, see piccie. The beans were really nice. Main was excellent, in the end did not want to leave, but for our 6 o clock checkout to go home tomorrow. This is how... More

We ate twice at Gorgones Taverna during a two week stay in Skopelos Town. On both occasions we sat at a table on the steps leading up past one of the two entrances, but there are also tables in a very pleasant courtyard. The menu is supplemented with a list of daily specials & offers something different to many of... More

This small restaurant in the street behind the harbour, is small but provides excellent food. The Lamb is to die for. My wife enjoyed a Cod in tomato sauce dish which she recommends.

A lovely venue tucked away in a back Street just off the harbour. So good we have been twice in a few days. The grilled lamb is epic and worth a visit for that alone. The chicken souvlaki is also very, very good. More intimate than the restaurants on the sea front and feels less touristy. Well worth finding. A... More

Little taverna, you could almost miss. Quaint and interesting interior - exposed brickwork, wood burner and wooden tables and chairs. Food was good but service was ponderous and the music played was depressing. Early in the season yet and got the feeling they were just getting going!

Lovely looking taverna. Discreetly hidden next to the Blue Bar. Wonderful interior, full of character. Offered so much but was let down by the downbeat atmosphere. Beginning of the season so maybe leaked ambience. Food good but music depressing. Shame because the taverna was quirky and appeared interesting with good local food.

We spent four days on the island in November. All the harbourside restaurants were closed, as were some of the town's ouzeries which are usually open year round. So, every evening we found ourselves in Gorgones, and I have to say we had four of the most pleasant, cosy evenings there, alongside one or two tables of Greek people -... More
