Shown completely in the wrong place on the map, this is in the heart of the Marina. I'm not sure about the very negative reviews, but they were a long time ago. Once I ate in, once had takeaway. The food was OK, not great, the service was perfectly friendly but not wildly fast, given I was the only diner. The atmosphere isn't the best – no doubt it's nicer at the many outdoor tables in warmer weather. If you want to eat at the Marina, Paiotte de Pirate is way better at similar prices, or Haroun at much higher ones.

We ordered lemonade with almonds..we had few pieces of almonds in it.. we asked if they could add some more.. the waiter "snatched" the glass "It's not my problem I'm just delivering!" !!!
My niece asked for ice.. he answered it isn't available.. he brought extra glasses for water.. my niece told him we already have enough it's ok.. he misheard and was like "keep bothering with this ice.."!!!!
Never seen such a level.. not of service in anyway but of rudeness..
If you pass by it.. go to the next.. there is a cool place next to it called Dannooni with proper service..

I recently visited this cafe on my own and as my arabic and french is not fantastic I was nervous. However the waiter was very friendly and helpfull and even topped up my phone with credit because I was struggling to understand how on my own! I ordered a salade Tunisian and it was delicious, there was lots of tuna on it and the portion was large and came with plenty of fresh bread. Also it was really nice to sit outside at the marina and watch the world go by.

The cafe is in a good location facing the marina. Lots of tables outside and good shade from umberellas.the service is fast and hospitable.
The owner, Munir is on site and speaks very good English. (This is rare for Djerba as there are not many English tourists).
Munir serves some very fresh fish and took delight in serving us excellent food, much better than we expected from a cafe. On our second visit he produced a very fresh loup fish (sea bass) which was one of the best we have tasted.
The price of 26 dinar per meal ( about £11) also included bread and nibbles, and a mint tea to finish so in terms of value was excellent.
Our only concern was that there was no ladies toilet and so the men's toilet, which was not clean and had no seat or paper, had to be used for all, however this is generally true all across Djerba and so it is more a comment than a criticism.

To flee
Dirty table, mediocre service, dish at the drop.
If I had read the old comments I would have fled. We'll never go again

I went with my family for dinner. I have never been to a restaurant with such poor service. We waited more than an hour to have 4 dishes and finally he came to tell us that there is no “kamounia” and no bread as well.
