We tried this after much trekking round various places in the area, we weren't really in the mood by the time we got to Ciccios, however, within minutes we changed our attitude, superb food and lovely wine, the seafood misti looked fab and tasted even better, I can't eat seafood so went for the lemon sole - also delicious! Really... More

I particularly like this restaurant and anytime I am within 30 miles, I will eat there, passing up many good places, because this is simply the very best. The location, on the river mouth that lets out to the sea; the sculpture park in the garden with famous sculptor's art amongst the tables. The waiters who are happy to serve... More

This fabulous restaurant overlooks pristine gardens and a marina with the beautiful white marble mountains of Carrara in the distance. Some must try dishes are the raw scampi if you can get them, the spaghetti vongole, one of the best fritto mistos ever and an awesome dessert trolley. Service is professional and welcoming. Well worth a visit.

We visited for lunch and really enjoyed our experience. I had langoustines with olives and tomatoes and Mr B had clams followed by prawns with a vegetable salad. The seafood was very fresh, and the service was friendly. Highly recommend.

I'm usually sceptical about scathing reviews if the majority are positive but cannot help but add comments on this occasion. We visited late July for a dinner and, as frequent visitors to Italy, will not return. My wife had pasta with bolognese sauce which, while uninspiring, was acceptable. I had spaghetti with "lobster sauce" which was actually lobster but, regrettably... More

The Fritto Misto here is just so delicious and the view of the harbour just amazing. Been going here for years for lunch and dinners. Staff are just so attentive: we had to dash to airport so had no time for digestifs, so they gave us some limoncello to take with us.

A great restaurant. Busy atmosphere, attentive and friendly service, a super wine list (stay local - you can't go wrong) and superbly cooked fresh food. The vongole were like a kiss from Neptune.

This authentic Italian seafood establishment run by Mario Guelfi is a must visit. A true family business it has been a favourite destination for Italians in the know for over 40 years. Set over the water it is totally atmospheric. The food is excellent. Track it down it is a real treat.

Although expensive, this restaurant served quality food cooked perfectly with perfect waiter service. Although it is mainly a seafood restaurant, you can get meat main courses also. We would recommend the lemon sole and the veal in lemon sauce. The desserts are to die for! The setting is by the marina and very beautiful. This is a clean and friendly... More
