Staying right in the centre of Montfore d'Alba with someone with a broken leg! We were so lucky that Saracca was just 70 metres from our front door. Fantastic renovation of 4 900 year old buildings. Bold mix of modern industrial materials and old old...More

Visited Montforte d'Alba recently on a wine tasting trip. Saracca was a lovely experience. The food was excellent, and the owner showed us around his cellars in small groups, and we indulged ourselves in choosing the excellent wines on offer. A definite must return !

We went first to have a glass of wine and antipasto-table. This antipasto was great, just delicious and the variety was unimaginable, just great. The next evening we got a table just in the winecellar, the Place was great. Also the food was delicious.

The restaurant is built into the cellars of an historic building, making for an atmospheric environment. There are many snacks to be had with your aperativo - and it is a popular place to try different wines. The menu wasn't extensive but was excellent.

The location was certainly interesting, as its carved out of an old stone building. They have left many stone walls open, or behind plexiglass that creates a really interesting atmosphere. The result is that the space is chopped up and can feel cramped in spots....More

I'm not really sure as we had a friend book it for us. I would suggest look at their website and go from there. Enjoy!
