Ten minutes down the Cilento coast lies the charming village of Pioppi and La Caupona lies centrally with views way across the water from a high vantage point. The pasta is gorgeous and the seafood likewise...well worth a visit!

Delicious plate with pasta and 'alici'. While having your meal, you can watch the sea and imagine seeing Ernest Hemingway out in the distance with an old fisherman, as he visited the neighbor village of Acciaroli a year before he published The Old Man and The Sea. Absolutely worth visiting.
