Been coming to this restaurant for 10 years and this will be the last time. Told a fillet of sea bream was 25 euros which was fine and then served the last 3 inches of a fillet tail with some potatoes and rank veg. This...topped by an argument with the staff who didn’t see the problem with serving literally 3 forks of fish for 25 euros. Little goldmine gradually destroyed and now run by surly staff with no care for the customer. Don’t botherMore
We drove along the coast and arrived here at lunch time. Beautiful sunny day and this restaurant is just above the gorgeous beach. Luckily there was a window table so we were able to watch the crashing waves as we ate. Perfect!
Menu mainly fish...and seafood which suited us.
We had rice with fish, which came in a saucepan, keeping all the flavours in. There would have been enough for two but my husband made a valiant attempt, and declared it superb. I had monkfish with prawns also perfectly cooked and mouth watering. We had a glass of the house white which complimented both.
My favourite carob and fig cake was available so we shared it and again delicious.
Service was friendly and professional
Fantastic location and spectacular views. Great location spoiled by really poor service.
Came today for food and a drink and asked 3 times where the food was. Eventually after about one and a half hours we got food with stroppy service. The chicken baguette had...virtually no chicken and then had to be sent back, the toastie was so white it looked anemic and the chips were hardly cooked.
We’ve been here numerous times and they’re normally ok but on this occasion they were terrible and the staff did not care.
We were told that the manager was out, it seems like when the cats away the mice will play!!!
Even though we had such bad service and food they refused to give any discount!!More
This has had a face lift since our previous visit, very nice now, roof terrace, very swish ! And as before very good food, and service, and very nice staff, prices have gone up a bit, but still reasonable, with a gorgeous sea view !!
We visited several times for lunch and had drinks and snack lunches. The food is lovely (mussels portions generous and delicious, as are baguettes and rolls). After a long walk the sea views and ambiance is amazing. Staff cheerful and helpful but not enough of...them. We visited early Jan and again late Feb and loved it. It was very busy in Feb so would guess it's very different in high season.
Will definitely prioritize a visit next time in the Alfarve!More
We all enjoyed a fantastic lunch. The views are amazing and the restaurant was very clean and fresh. The service was friendly and efficient. I had one of the freshly caught fish, which was delicious. The lime desert was out of this world!
There is...a rooftop bar, where we would definately like to enjoy a drink in the future - the sunsets from there would be amazing.More
The reviews on TA are not completely consistent but we liked it.
The service (a common issue on other reviews) was good - quick, efficient and friendly.
We had an excellent meal - the Algarve salad and vegetable soup in particular were great.
The desserts...were generally traditional Portugeese and very good.
We'd be happy to come back here.
We felt a little sorry for the crabs kept in a tank by the entrance. They didn't look very active either so I'm not sure if that's meant to be a good thing or not. We're not fish-eaters so it doesn't make a difference to us, but fishy people would generally be very happy here.More
