We decided to grab some breakfast before leaving town and we were sure glad we did. The service was warm and friendly and the surroundings homely. We enjoyed a delicious breakfast and enjoyed a great start to our day. Would dine here again without a...doubt.More

Stopped there for coffee and cake - both the chocolate cake and apple pie were delicious and the coffee was good. Definitely worth it!

At first glance this restaurant looks homey and trustworthy; It’s clean, decorated with cute pictures and figurines, and the tables are the kind you would find in a real home. However, the food is the complete opposite. It is just cheap, frozen food disguised as...“authentic Icelandic cuisine” to unsuspecting travelers. My friends and I ordered four hashed fish and a pepperoni pizza. While we were waiting I heard the microwave opening and closing, starting and stopping multiple times, and after the sounds from the microwaved stopped our food was served. We waited under 5 minutes in total for our food, which made me very suspicious because you cannot bake a pizza in such a short time, not to mention do all the cooking necessary to make four hashed fish. The food itself looked as if it had come out of a box. The hashed fish was maybe 5% fish and 95% potatoes if I were to round up, and it certainly didn’t taste like anything other than microwaved mashed potatoes. The only signs of fish I could see in the dish were thin strings that couldn’t add up to more than an ounce. As for the pizza, it had no sauce and the cheese was stiff and bland. This place does more than serve bad food; they take advantage of unsuspecting tourists. You’ve been warned, thanks.More

Hello all, Stopped with a couple of friends at this quaint, cozy restaurant expecting a nice, home-cooked meal. I ordered the hashed fish with rye bread because I felt adventurous and wanted to try something “authentic”. Instead, I am 99.99% sure the “hashed fish” which...was served a mere 5 minutes later was in reality mashed potatoes with scant pieces of fish. Furthermore, it was not reassuring to hear the microwave door opening and closing in the kitchen seconds after we ordered our meals. This allows me to safely assume that the food was microwaved and ready to go. In conclusion, if you want to get scammed, this is your place. You’ve been warned. Thank you.More

Luckily it was a warm sunny day in that location of Iceland. All 8 of us ordered either the lamb soup or the fish soup, with bread. Very tasty, and friendly staff.

Incredibly tasty home-cooked food! The husband and wife owners are delightful and welcoming. What a fantastic local treat! The cod fish hash with homemade bread was outstanding and remarkably filling! Make this a stop for certain!

We stopped at this charming two-story cafe for lunch and coffee during our Golden Circle drive. We had brewed coffee, a ham and cheese panini, and the cauliflower soup - all were delicious and served very quickly! After a long drive, this was exactly the...kind of atmosphere I needed - quaint and designed to feel like home. This was my favorite lunch spot during our drive.More
