Always love bringing my visitors here as they are very fond of fish dishes and you get the best here at a very reasonable price. The starters and sweet dishes are so tasty also.

Great food, great atmosphere - loved the Irish folk band (we were there a Sunday night) The restaurant was full, so luckily we had booked a table beforehand!

Lunch in the Derg Inn was very relaxed in a nicely decorated pup/restaurant. You have to make the effort to visit Terryglass by road it's much easier by boat but worth the effort. The southern chicken was nicely spiced and cooed to perfection. It was quiet over lunch but can be busy.

Had lunch here as part of a group of friends. We were seated straight away and I loved the cosy feel of the pub. Menu was varied and everything sounded good. I had a salad and it was gorgeous. Everybody was very happy with their food. Service was a little slow but we were happy to wait and chat. I... More

Very nice pub/restaurant in beautiful location. Lovely food. Visited here last week when we were boating on the Shannon. Would definitely recommend a visit.

When visiting friends in the area, we always tie in a meal or two here (this time it was Sunday dinner and Monday lunch). It's located in a pretty village and serves consistently good food. The owner and waiting staff are all lovely and very welcoming. It always seems to be busy and has a good vibe. We particularly enjoyed... More

It was way over priced for what it was, and nobody in the places seemed to care we complained to the staff. All they said was... More

I went there thrice within the space of eleven days during which time I travelled to Dublin, Kerry, Killarney, cliffs of moher, Galway, etc. I must say, of all the dozens of pubs and gastro pubs I must've visited, the Derg stood out as the clear winner! On all three occasions, I ordered steaks, Irish Hereford steaks which were sublime!... More
