Had lunch here as part of a group of friends. We were seated straight away and I loved the cosy feel of the pub. Menu was varied and everything sounded good. I had a salad and it was gorgeous. Everybody was very happy with their food. Service was a little slow but we were happy to wait and chat. I... More

Very nice pub/restaurant in beautiful location. Lovely food. Visited here last week when we were boating on the Shannon. Would definitely recommend a visit.

When visiting friends in the area, we always tie in a meal or two here (this time it was Sunday dinner and Monday lunch). It's located in a pretty village and serves consistently good food. The owner and waiting staff are all lovely and very welcoming. It always seems to be busy and has a good vibe. We particularly enjoyed... More

Hi I had breakfast in this establishment lately and I was so disappointed, me and my family, we all went for breakfast it was slow coming we got no toast till we all finished. It was way over priced for what it was, and nobody in the places seemed to care we complained to the staff. All they said was... More

I went there thrice within the space of eleven days during which time I travelled to Dublin, Kerry, Killarney, cliffs of moher, Galway, etc. I must say, of all the dozens of pubs and gastro pubs I must've visited, the Derg stood out as the clear winner! On all three occasions, I ordered steaks, Irish Hereford steaks which were sublime!... More

The food remains of high quality, but this time when we visited with family the place was so busy that the service was slow. Otherwise it continues to be my son's favourite restaurant when he visits from abroad.

I ate here recently and the food and service was very good. Good value too. One little quibble I asked for and got the food allergens list which the Derg Inn works on number basis. Ok simple I orderd the wheat free meal (Roast Beef). I was tucking into my food when I realized the Deep fried ONIONS had to... More

Our family of 7 was vacationing in Ireland. On our way back to our cottage from our trip to Galway, we stopped at the Derg Inn for dinner. The menu is eclectic, providing traditional Irish food as well as international dishes. A couple of us had a Mongolian Chicken dish and it was absolutely delicious. Talented international chefs in the... More
