.......I have given four stars as it is the sort of 'pubby' pub that my husband likes! We were on a 10 mile walk across the Moor and The Dartmoor Inn was at the half way mark. For us the main issue was 'dog friendly'....More

This was our half way point on our 20 mile days walk. Been dropping in for nearly 30 years. Chose from the chiefs chalkboard specials the £8.50 cheese burger and chips. Was so disappointed when it finally arrived. 10p soft roll. And a small burger...More

This old pub makes a cosy refuge when you have been out on walking on Dartmoor. Big open fire to sit by; if you are lucky enough to get a seat by it! Good basic fare if you want to refuel. Friendly staff. Allows dogs...More

It was a cold but clear, late November walk. We planned to half way to get lunch at the Dartmoor Inn, Merrivale. We were suitably hungry when we arrived, and ordered food and refreshment, taking a seat at one of the alcoves with a view...More

Stopped by chance when passing. Traditional pub with good cider and some local real ales. Simple menu and good sized portions. Recommend the pies and pastys that are home made. As it was a Sunday they had roast dinners available. Dogs welcome on a lead!

We pitched up well into the afternoon but were still able to order hot food. Quick service and a good pub meal. Parking is a little hairy on a busy road but still plenty of it. Cosy warm pub and I'm sure we'll be back.

Visited Dartmoor Inn on Saturday mid walk amongst a group of 8 friends. Went with a couple of them to get a round in at the (empty) bar area. Liked the look of the Black Tor real ale whilst others were ordering. Having asked the...More

There do not appear to be any reviews of the accommodation. I remember they had 4 (?) rooms at least. Anyone have any knowledge. We stopped here some 10 years back for a dinner and really enjoyed it - lovely area and atmosphere. BUT - reviews scare me slightly. We enjoyed the beer/ale, food and location. BUT - did not stay. We were thinking of staying this time. Really appreciate some answers. Thanks.

I'm sorry but I have only been to this pub during lunch time with my dad. I'm sure if you looked up the pub you would find a phone number i know there is no WIFI there.
