It pays off to stop and eat in this restaurant. Clean, tidy and nicely decorated restaurant with a big terrace. Portions are large and the prices are really acceptable. We ate “zagorska pasticada” with homemade gnocchi and cabbage salad. The meal was very tasty and the portions were really big. We had some local white wine which was nice and refreshing. The staff is friendly and we will definitely visit this restaurant again if we are around.

We came with our kid and waited for someone to serve us but the waitres was only going to the table next to us (couple of times) - I wave to her several times but she just didn’t want to look my way. It was very hot and we couldn’t wait to order drinks (and food). After 30 min we just left and notice there were 4 waiters chating at the bar, not doing anything.

Whenever we are in the nearby area, this is the restaurant where we eat. The atmosphere, the meals, the waiters, everything is on a high level and well worth leaving a tip.

My family stopped by the restaurant on our way to Zagreb because we saw a sign advertising "janjetina ispod peke".
Serving size was pretty big and the taste was amazing. The best meat casserole of this type we ever had.
Staff was really kind and they know English, German and Italian.

Nicely decorated restaurant with very good meals and big portions for affordable prices. I recommend "kotlet na ciganski" (chop) for 70 KN and as a starter/appetizer "domaća plata Purga" (on my picture) for 35 KN. They have solid choice of beers. Staff is very friendly.

Restoran Purga has long been a family favorite. Anytime I am in Zagorje, I make sure to stop by for a meal. The food is fresh and delicious and the wooden decor is beautiful. Service can be on the slower side sometimes, but I just go with the flow and enjoy the relaxed atmosphere--there's no need to rush, especially with some gemist in hand!

Nice restaurant in Zagorje near Marija Bistrica by the road offering variety of dishes, all made fresh and tasty. There are two terraces available tomseat outside and there is nice inside as well. The restaurant offers rooms to stay also. Service is good and staff very kind.

The rooms are new, or like new so i cant complain. In restoran everything is well made and cosy. The food is strong and salty bud this is what this area is known for. Tap white wine is great i recommend, as well as tap German Paulaner.
