A little drive and if you take the Google map directions of 11 minutes through the town be warned the track is one car wide and full of crater like pot holes. The better is the drive in from the top. There is small car...park. The service was brilliant from start to finish. Our Italian is limited and the gent’s English limited but that didn’t hinder either of us and he made it such a nice experience. Top service from him and our waitress. They where both really attentive. The food was the best we had on our stay here. Full of flavour and freshness. The pistachio ravioli was beautiful along with the desserts. Could not fault this place in any way. Don’t let the drive in put you off it’s so absolutely worth it.More

My. Husband and I went here after reading all the reviews. It looked really interesting and really nice from the parking lot. So, we were excited. But, we were extremely disappointed. No atmosphere, bright lights, no music. We had a kid next to us blasting...their iPad. We were the only 2 tables in there. The owner came out and said hello to them and not to us. (I assume they were locals). But, just rude. The food was mediocre at best. Nothing special. Then a pack of smokers came in & puffed up our table. We got out of there ASAP. The whole vibe & atmosphere made this meal super unpleasant. Sorry, but we will never return.More

Maria, It is hard to believe that someone would give a one star review for the reasons you have listed. You said we had bright lights, sorry for the inconvenience, next time we will turn al the lights off so that you can be more...More

This restaurant was suggested by our BnB and we were very satisfied. Tired after a long drive and some hours in the sun at the swimming pool, we were just happy to have an early and small dinner. We arrived too early but were still...welcome and seated in front of Mount Etna, so the 20 minutes wait was just a good opportunity to look at the volcano fuming . Both pastas and pizzas were good (pizzas may be better) and the local wine also. Great welcome by both the staff and the owner. We did not get any limoncello after dinner (as some reviewed on trip advisor) but would return any time when in the region.More

Great little trattoria off the beaten track. Very peaceful location so eating on the terrace is a relaxing treat. Welcoming staff and a good menu. Portions were typically Sicilian - ie very large! Food was quick to come and was tasty. It wasn’t busy but...other people there were mainly in large family groups with young children so a very family friendly place.More

The atmosphere and the place was great, the staff really kind. My bf was really satisfied eating the pizza, but my risotto was just ok.

Incredible place! The owner Salvatore was very kind and treated us like family . The ambiance is very authentic and the food was amazing . Highly recommended ! We came here from New York with 14 people and it was our favorite place on our...trip. We truly enjoyed the Capanata as an appetizer, the pasta with the eggplant , the risotto mushroom , fresh ricotta, and the pistachio ravioli. They also had homemade red and white wine. Very reasonable prices. We loved it so much we came back on our last night in Italy. BEST meal we had our entire trip !More

We had a great dinner here. A sampler antipasto platter (rustica) had a variety of antipasti which were all very tasty. The pastas were excellent too, in particular the ravioli stuffed with pistachio was wonderful. Portions were generous so that we didn't end up ordering...a main.More

Tasty food loved also by kids. They even tried vegs as starters!!! The owner even shared local fresh veggies to bring home and smart advices to prepare a great frittata, loved again by the kids. When we went back home we had also a great...view on the Etna, with an amazing perspective. I highly recommend this place!More

One of the best restaurant in Sicily with fresh food and very friendly owner and workers. Not very expensive and from the antipasto till the desert everything was good. Would suggest the home wine..

Food was ok but, since we had asked for a table in the outside garden, we thought we would have been sitting under the sun. Not at all whatsoever. No grass, no garden, no sun, just a balcony closed by a solid roofing.More

Service is excellent, but expect a very long wait between courses. English is limited. Lunchtime is a set menu which cost 25 euros each. Big portions so don’t over order. Wine list very good limited but value for money. Small car park so get here...early.More

My husband and I were staying local to this restaurant approx 10 min walk. It is down a rather steep hill which clearly on the way back you will need to climb if walking. They do have parking. Set in a very quiet location, we...ate early generally 6.30/7 pm not many people in, however Italians do eat later. We had pistachio ravioli and mixed meat we shared the meals and both very nice. The following day we decided to go again as the pizza oven does not start till 7pm. Once again a good meal. The pizza s are big but that depends how much you eat. The staff do not speak much English so we used the translater on our mobile. Excellent value for money in my opinion. Staff are very friendly and helpful as much as they can be due to the language barrier.More
