We ate here on three of our four nights in Santa Venerina. The standard of the cuisine was excellent, particularly the dishes made with mushrooms freshly picked on Mount Etna, and we were made very welcome. Prices were very reasonable.

We came through this town after an afternoon hiking in Etna. Both towns that were lively on Sunday morning heading up to Etna were desolate at 3 pm for Siesta. We just happened to see this place open and truly had the best lunch. Homemade maccaroni Uncle style. Wild Etna mushrooms with delicious sausages mixed grill, Sicilian antipasto and so... More

We went to this restaurant as the place we stayed recommended it, the waiter suggested he organised some antipasti himself and we then asked for pasta to share, just 1 bottle of wine between 7 as it was lunch time and the bill came more expensive then a fantastic restaurant with a view in Taormina!!! When we questioned the bill... More

This place is brilliant! We had lunch and we did not feel like fish, but for a Roman type such as Saltimbocca alla Romana. This they do to perfection as well as pizza and wine La Segreta 2010 from Sicilia is amazing. We recomend this place.

Great home cooking. Range of mushroom specialities. Pizza, pasta and meat dishes also available. Friendly, welcoming service and good value for money.

We found this place just as we arrived as it was the only place open in the town. Meal was lovely home cooked and wine was fab too. We visited a second time but didn't enjoy our meal but this wasn't down to anything other than poor choice from the menu as we just didn't like what we ordered and... More

We have feasted on the starters from mushrooms from Etna. With a little of local wine, we had enough and we have not continued with the main meals. Every single of the little dishes was a delicacy!
