Came to the restaurant yesterday with friends for a Christmas party. As a regular customer I’ve got to say the food gets better and better each time I come. Polite, friendly and selfless staff as always. Cheap prices and you can feel free to bring...in your own drinks. Absolutely recommend this restaurant to everybody!More

Have been using this establishment for about ten years and was always top class but has rapidly gone down hill. Four of us Visited last Sunday only diners young waiter tried but inexperienced poppadoms damp meals took ages Asked for bill no offer of coffee/tea...which was part of buffet meal.Bill arrived price had increased figures all over asked for clarification given all sorts of reasons for total .Eventually got reduction paid did not leave tip.Whole experience nothing like past many visits now no atmosphere staff miserable and unhelpful unfortunately will not return.More

Awful curry, full of food colouring, no flavour, the butterfly king prawns looked like a schnitzel and the poppadoms were stale. The worst I’ve ever had. £90 of total rubbish.

I’ve been coming here regularly for two years. They have always prepared incredibly tasty food. I always go for their vegetarian/vegan dishes. Ali and his team are friendly, accommodating and professional. Would highly recommend anything from their extensive menu.

We ordered a takeaway at 6.48pm. It turned up at 8.58pm. We telephoned to ask about the menu, as the Vegan selection on the Just Eat app gave egg fried rice as an option! We rang again to clarify after ordering, that the boiled rice...was the only vegan rice. We then rang at 8.10, because the Just Eat app notified us it was out for delivery at 7.41, & we hadn't seen or heard anyone. We were told there was one driver, & it wasn't out yet. We were told it would be 15/20 minutes. At 7.45 we rang back & weren't even given a moment to speak, to offer to pick it up, or to explain our predicament. Not only was it our anniversary, but my partner also has to be up at 4.30am for work, so ordering early to eat early was really important to us. So, 9pm, & we're finally eating our dinner, only to discover that yes, the egg fried rice was delivered. That's no good to us! The boiled rice, the aubergine bhaji, & the potato dish were all warm, not hot. In all, the service from the restaurant was abysmal. The delivery was slow. The price is average for the food, so to be paying that much only for the whole experience to be this terrible is dreadful. So many people seem to have had decent experiences at Cinnamon Spice, & yet this was the worst dinner I think I've ever had, considering it is local, & meant to be a treat. We will definitely not be repeating this disaster!More

I have been coming to this restaurant for the last 5-6 years but tonight’s visit will be my last, it has gone downhill massively. The service was very poor, the poppadoms were stale, the Bhuna dish I had tasted like a Korma, and the evening...was ruined. Sadly we won’t be returningMore

Spent a weekend in Rye with family and ordered a takeaway for the Sat night (our one night altogether). The meal took over 2 and a half hours to arrive and only did so following at least 4 phone calls to trace its whereabouts!! Ruined...our evening completely. Restaurant refused to refund and had the cheek to block my account so I can’t post a review on their website! Very, very poor service. The mgr said they were very busy that night but they should definitely have contacted us to let us know it was going to take that much longer than the 45 mins their website suggested. Very poor overall…would never recommend.More

Recently visited with my family and had an astonishing experience. Definitely recommend to anyone that loves traditional Indian food. Food was astounding, made with a lot of care and passion. Staff was very kind and professional. Would love to come and eat here again!😁

This is a very odd review to write as will become apparent, however the restaurant was clean & pleasant and the staff friendly and no problem was found with space. The food was excellent I went for the Lamb Achari which was very good and...served as a sizzler, the wife went for the Madhu Murgh which to was well cooked and tasty, the side dishes were Tarka saag dhal and Saag Aloo, with garlic rice and a cheese naan, all which were tasty too in good portion size. However a review is about the overall experience and there are definitely some strange things about this restaurant. On arriving at the restaurant and being seated there was a slightly curled up notice printed in quite large font stuck up with blue tack explaining the restaurant didn’t serve alcohol though your free to bring your own, I asked why? The waitress explained the owners don’t drink, I doesn’t bother me as I don’t drink and the wife driving, we were told though that we were free to pop over to the off licence to get some if we wanted. I was kind of glad the owners were not vegetarians though. On finishing the bill was brought with no offer of coffee or dessert before hand and without request, I would of probably had a coffee too but hey. The bill really was a bit of a no no for restauranting, the items were tallied correctly and the total put in the payment due box correctly below the total box was clearly printed Service charge not included, which is fine, normally I leave a tip , however above this box was scrawled +20% and added 20% to the bill giving a new figure above the total due box, I’m not intimidated or worried about this sort of hokum, though a lot would be, and I always pay in cash so avoiding an awkward discussion about service charges, I gave the tip I was going to anyway and left. Overall had a good and perhaps interesting celebratory evening, which I remember, more for memories an decent food and company rather than the negatives, would I go back? Simply no, other restaurants around which serve good food too, kind of sad but it is what it is.More

We ordered a takeaway from Cinnamon Spice, the small amount of chicken we did get was absolutely dried out, & inedible, so it went in the foxes bowl. To be fair, the tikka sauce was quite tasty & the fox didn’t complain about the horrible...chicken!!More

Have ordered plenty of times through Just Eat and have always been very happy with both the quality of the food and delivery times. Very tasty and quality is the same every time. Will continue ordering from here with no qualms at all.
