I find it difficult to describe just how good is the Joshua Tree. We went there today to celebrate Mothers' Day, and such is the popularity of the place that we couldn't get a booking until 5.30pm. It turns out that every table was booked and used three times today. Well, why go anywhere else? On arriving late in the... More

I ate here with 3 friends - only 1 of our party had been before. The food was really something - from the presentation, portion size & taste. All spot on. We all ended up eating 3 courses as it was so good. Will be returning to sample more dishes!

We visited The Joshua Tree with our almost three year old and four month old. We hadn't reserved but the staff bent over backwards to squeeze us in on a busy Sunday lunch time. The roasts were absolutely delicious and very generous in size (the child portion had loads of lovely veg too, which was great). Both of our waitresses... More

Amazing food, good service, just the ambience that lets it down. Overall good and would definitely go back.

We visited on Valentine's Day but had our daughter along as well. All three of us were made welcome and the two waitress were very helpful with my daughters menu choices. The food was superb. A very good mix across the menu. There was a valentine special or the normal menu. All of the food is cooked to order. This... More

Excellent food and service with the added bonus of decent draft beer including the locally brewed Joshua Tree bitter. Compared with other gastro pubs in the locale, such as the Home Cottage, prices remain competitive and most menu options come with vegetables included. On the downside parking can be a problem as there is limited on-street parking in the immediate... More

We have eaten at the Joshua Tree on a number of occasions, and have never been disappointed. The restaurant is situated to the rear of the pub, and while lacking in atmosphere, the quality of food is outstanding. The various dishes often have unusual twists on standard fare, resulting in delicious and unusual combinations. Service is inevitably warm and friendly.... More

We were looking forward to it upon a recommendation. Came in with our 1.5 yr old as was told it was a family outing. Bartender looked at the baby, then us, didn't say hello, just pointed to the hostess. They sat us reluctantly, and given how cold our welcome was we had a drink and left. Think they knew they... My husband and I went for dinner last night based on previous reviews but cannot say we agree. We were seated at the back of the restaurant and it was freezing s cold draft through the windows was unsatisfactory. Food was ok we thought expensive. I had the lamb hotpot special and it lacked lamb. My husband had the Afigato... More
