This restaurant is in an excellent position and service was friendly and fast, but the food was disappointing.

Hopefully the fish I ordered was fresh and I'm giving credit to the price for that, because, overall the food here is really average, although the prices are not cheap. For those who know the restaurants Flanigan's, this is a similar quality but with higher prices. There is a fish shop in the restaurant (or a restaurant in the fish... More

An authentic seafood restaurant near the shores of the St Lawrence. As you arrive from the West (Tadoussac area) be prepared as you descend the hill into Escoumins as it is on your passenger side and it is a sharp turn before the bottom of the hill. The resto-terrace is visible from the road. I had a shrimp burger which... More

We were driving to Saguenay and were getting really hungry. My bf suggested this place. We stopped and I couldnt believe how nice and very organized the entire store/restaurant was. We had the lunch boxes that were filled with crab and shrimp sandwiches with a side salad. It was delicious and the price was great. We will be back next... More

We wanted a good seafood dinner. And we found it here. Crab and shrimp. I regret not ordering lobster. It was busy on a Friday but they found a table for us. The service was pleasant and adequate.

Recommended by chalet owners. Very busy for a Wednesday evening. The decor is basic but you come here for the food. We ordered fresh lobster and coquille Saint Jacques. Both were absolutely delicious and very large portion, however on the pricey side.

The service and the food was below our expectations and did not meet our criteria for "very good" as suggested by the Hotel. We were seated in the plastic-enclosed veranda, with suboptimal lighting and a draft everytime the plastic covered door was opened (every two minutes). It was busy, but most patrons had already eaten when we arrived. The server... More

We tried the catch of the day, the fish and chips and the tasty lobster. Everything was fresh and delicious! Served with cold beer! Great service too!

Operating in the region for over 15 years, the Escoumins fish market will be of great interest to anyone who loves fish and seafood. It is open all season long, selling a wide variety of marine products straight off the boats of local fishermen. Taste our delicious fresh fish, including salmon, turbot, halibut and sole. Prepare your favourite seafood dishes from our daily arrivals of shrimp, scallops, crab, lobster, quahogs and whelks. And why not take advantage of your stay to discover the Stimpson's surf clam, a mollusk from the clam family? The Escoumins fish market also serves generous meals on its private terrace looking over the St. Lawrence River. Sushi and prepared dishes are available for take-out, to eat wherever you please. The catering service will be appreciated by larger groups and families at special events.
