This restaurant is a little bit off the beaten track but well worth a visit. I'm a big fan of the 'Bacalhau com natas' dish and heard that it was good at this restaurant - and it certainly was. We came here twice, as we wanted to enjoy the Seafood paella again, and it was excellent on both occasions - freshly made and plenty of seafood. Great service and the house wines were very good. Amazing food, Customer service and very economic. We had been to many times in Madeira but this is our first time in and the best food I ever had, I order seafood mix and it was fantastic amazing presentation and delicious, my husband had the...plate of the day it was Brest chicken with prosciutto salad and chips that included a soft drink and coffee and my Daughter had steak salad and chips the attention was excellent and spectacular presentation and taste. We had plate of the day, the fish that we had was OK. One star only because, they allow customers to smoke cigarettes inside, which spoil even the best food. Several people around our table, smoked cigarettes, we had to change our table, unfortunately it...help only a little. I strongly believe that smoking inside restaurants is strictly forbidden. The waiter said that they allow to smoke as the windows are open for ventilation.... How the management can allow to serve food in the same area where ,they allow smoking???More

Been to this restaurant on several occasions and only reviewing now, to make sure that the experience is consistent. Menu very diverse with meat, fish and seafood dishes all at reasonable prices. A limited but good wine selection. Food of excellent quality, delicious and fresh....Have tried several meat dishes and the meat is ALWAYS soft and tender and on point. Never a bad meal here this place is amazing. We live here on the island and we visit at least once a week. Great value for money and excellent quality. Victor is fantastic and looks after the customers with care. We take all our customers...there and everyone loves it. Portions are generous, if your a big eater your happy but for those with smaller appieties they are happy to do sharing plates. What every you want they will do everything to accomodate. Although we didn't pre-book, we waited 30 minutes to be seated, 30 minutes after we ordered we received the first starter.
