New name of restaurant is Pequeña Polonia. Wonderful kitchen, probably better than your grandmother's! Excellent standards like pierogi, stuffed cabbage, beef stew with dumplings, beet soup, salads, fresh fruit smoothies, and superb cakes and coffee for dessert. Everything here is fresh and made by hand....Prices very reasonable. Have a big and relaxed lunch like you're supposed to in Costa Rica, but with a touch of the old world. A treat in Atenas!More

On Fridays, Pequea Polonia (Kay's Postres) offers Fish and Chips. Lunch on Fridays would not be the same without this meal.

I go to Kays (Now Pequena Polina) everytime I visit Atenas. This is truly a great spot. I can't say enough about this place. The food is amazing and you really have to try their Polish specialities. The service is always fast and friendly. They...go out of their way to make sure everything is to your liking. The baked goods are to die for. Even if you're stuffed from your meal take a dessert to go.More

Everyone in Atenas still calls it Kay's, but it has new owners and they serve Polish food. The regular menus is great but the Polish food is over the top!!! I asked for a combination dish which featured several of the Polish menu items. They...did a fabulous job - it was excellent - had to go back for a second Polish lunch before I left Atenas.More

Went to Kay's multiple times during our stay in Atenas. Great service and great food. This was our favorite breakfast place. We also enjoyed a fabulous lunch. We loved our waitress and had the pleasure of meeting the owner on our last meal before heading...to the airport. You will not be dissapointed!More

Absolutely fantastic little spot, tucked away on a side street in Atenas. The owner is lovely, friendly and accommodating and the food is wonderful. It's ba Polish restaurant that has plenty of American options and a breakfast menu as well. Desserts also looked delicious but...we didn't try. Club Sandwich was fantastic as we're the Hungarian Pancakes. A must stop if you're in the area. We'll definitely be back.More

Please note: this restaurant has changed owners and now has a new name in the same familiar location. We loved the food, atmosphere, groups of expats and wonderful lending library!

We stopped here for breakfast during a few days in Atenas and were very pleased. While looking at the menu I saw that they had a selection of Polish foods so I knew we would be back. I’ve been on a quest to find pierogies...as good as I remember my grandma’s. And I found them here. The Borchst was delicious too. Yum!More
