We finally ate at Mirador after almost a month in Atenas. While our friends had raved about the food, we thought it pretty plain rice and beans stuff. My fries were the best thing on my plate. My spouse became ill the next day, could have been any culprit though......

poor decoration, three loud televisions, bad service, lots of items missing on the menu, uncomfortable chairs, small tables, bad ceviche, tastless grayish pinkish steacks artificially made tender don't go!

Went for lunch today because i had a craving for a hamburger. After ordering i approached the waiter and asked him how the hamburger was served. He replied that it came with lettuce tomato and the usual ketchup, mayo and mustard which is common place in CR. I asked him not too add the sauces as i preferred to do... More

It is hard to find a tender steak here in Costa Rica at a reasonable price. BUT I found it at the Mirador - a great filet with a tasty mushroom sauce! I understand the rest of the menu is very good also - especially the ribs. Great views, wait staff very attentive and speak pretty good English. Very worth... More

My wife and I ate at Mirador on multiple occasions during our stay in Atenas. Each visit greeted us with some terrific food! In addition the service is top-notch and the view is breath-taking looking out the back of the restaurant. The restaurant is a very open-air setup, so it always seemed comfortable and the overall architecture/layout of the place... More

The bumpy road has been fixed, a bit, fewer potholes. But it is always worth the drive. This is one of our go to places when we have guests or make new friends. The sea bass & garlic melt in your mouth. Terrific view, wonderful staff. Very good drinks. A pleasure every time!

We had been wanting to to Mirador el Pueblo for sometime now, and we finally went this week with some friends for lunch. The atmosphere is terrific and even though we were there on a cloudy day, the view was amazing. I had the typical Tico Casado with fish "ajillo" (with garlic butter sauce) and the portions were huge. The... More

We visited the Mirador as a recommendation from an acquaintance. Her food choices and the reviews I read before going were right on the nose. We were a party of four celebrating my 49th wedding anniversary. Our party chose Shrimp in Buttery Sauce and a Fish plate and a combination of shrimp and fish in white sauce. Of course we... More

I have never been in the Mirador that I needed to wait for my menu, food, or friendly conversation. Always the best, with great prices for belt loosening plates of food.

Food, service, view, prices - all excellent. First time, I ordered fish casada. Today, ceviche and fried chicken. Next time, I want to order anything in the garlic sauce. I would recommend this restaurant.
