We were recommended this place so our expectations were very high. Octopus is one of my favorite foods and I eat it often, and in various global locations but this was completely tasteless!! It was cooked in tomato sauce with soggy potatoes and aubergines!! There...was no flavor to it!! And we had to wait for more then one hour for it to arrive, though it was preordered the night before. Also as our two kids ( both under 12 who were being charged the full price per person for both octopus and salad) did not eat, we asked the owner/waiter for dessert to at least feed them something known. We were told that everyone was very tired, as they have been working a lot but if we insisted they were willing to make pancakes for the kids!!! If course we insisted!! We are paying customers and we were not asking for charity but our dues!! Pancakes were good and so were the home made prosciutto, goat cheese and raki but as I said the main course, the Pièce de Resistance, completely missed the mark for myself and for my friends.More

This place is a little treasure hidden in the far-east part of the island with only wild woods surrounding it. The road that leads to there is beautiful, and the atmosphere as wonderful as it gets. The family that runs it is very nice and...open to talking and making jokes, and the food they make simply exquisite - everything is home-grown and local because they are basically a agricultural hacienda. Because of the remoteness reservations are a requirement - you have to call a day earlier (during high season) or the morning of the visit (off-season) to get a place and order food - they specialize in peka, an old-school, local type of oven. Choose between lamb or octopus, you can't go wrong!More

We had everything in this amazing place, first domestic schnapps, soup and cold appetizers were all ready too good and too big portions, so when the best octopus came on the table we were full but... it was so great, the best I ever had...no doubt, and the portion for 2 was sufficient for 4 no question. Service was quick even the restaurant was full. Must go when on Lastovo.More

We have eaten twice, octopus was very good, and thrilled with this experience, we have came back for domestic lamb in peka way. It was a pure disaster- the poorest parts of lamb, no taste and even when you complain, service was not OK. You...expect fair treatment for what you pay, but no hospitality at all. THE RULE a guest is the star doesn't work at all. It is better to go to Konoba places where the island dishes, quality and hospitality is trully authentic.More

the drive to the Restaurant is both beautiful and adventurous (as the road is wide enough for one car ! ). the welcome is very warm. immediately we were impressed by Ante and his very philosophical approach to his life, his restaurant and the way...they do things (everything is produced there by the family, from wine to desert !! ) He reminded us of Epicure, as if the great philosopher had invested this Croatian Inn-keeper. It was magic, truly emotional, for all of us, adults. The food was superb. Both the meat and the fish. The wines are simple and straightforward local wines, but they allow you to bring your own wine. Considering that the transport was included and that they don't charge you corkage, you feel bad and round up generously with the tip.More

We were dining out with friends, food is fantastic, homemade, homegrown, brilliant. We were first served by a waitress who was really pleasant and kind. However, the waiter, a sweaty hillibilly with long beard shouldn't get anywhere near people because he obviously cant handle people...and stress. Everything was fantastic up to the moment where he dropped a cheap comment to my husband not to have his shirt opened because, quote "you are not on a beach". That comment was utter inappropriate and a big huge giant no no when talking to guests and handling a situation. Especially since he doesnt know who we are, and I happen to be a columnist in a well known culinary magazine in UK and Germany. I do recommend the restaurant, however I wont be writing about it in the column as long as you dont teach your staff to speak with guests. Or keep the neurotic hilibillies away from people.More

We all love lamb peka, but this one was one of the worst we have on Dalmatian coast. We order 3 adult portions and receive only dry bones with potatoes ( I guess that they know we wouldn't make a scene in fron of our...two kids). After we said that the lamb is so so, the owner said that they will be better next time and price all 3 portions without even asking what is wrong. If they only apoligize and offer some kind of compensation I wouldn't write this. Even my kids said that this wasn't ok. It was a huge disappointment after very nice day at Lastovo.More

We had a great night at OPG Podanje! We were welcomed with the home made liqueurs (Rakija), followed with home made wine and octopus peka. Food was amazing, I’ve never eaten a better octopus. Service was great, they were joking with all the guests. Highly...recommended! 🍻 we will be back!More

I"ll get straight to the point, we had shots of rogac (rakija), octopus and veal under the bell (peka), homemade bread, a salad for two, one liter of white wine, a bottle of water and desert on the house (fritule) - bill was only 330kn...(45eur)! Not to forget to mention that everything was delicious! That kind of food is rare to find and in Croatia impossible for that amount of money. Hosts were relaxed since its nice surrounding and family atmosphere. I have small recommendation for the hosts, play low volume music in the background. But to conclude, this is probably the best restaurant in the entire island!More
