After visiting most of the good restaurants on Lastovo, we decided to see Porto Rosso as supposedly one of the best. It was such a mediocre experience that we finished the tasteless, uninspired food as fast as possible and left. Also, for what it offers,...the costs are unjustified, overpriced. Avoid it and visit any other restaurant on the island.More

What a great meal. Two families having various seafood, pasta and grilled meat and squid! Food was great… But even better was the experience from the staff. To the management: Nikša really made our experience great! He was pleasant, polite, took his time to explain...and even shared his Lastovo history… thanks Nikša for a great experience - you are a super staff!More

We enjoyed a lot pre-season time (late june), 2 tables gor lunch occupied. After delicious meal enjoyed in their beach bar nect to it in shadow of trees. Great please. Prices higher then usual on Lastovo but quality and quantity justify it.

The only one good thing was wine. Food was terrible. Seafood pasta unfortunatelly without sea food 🤣🤣 Onion only. The rest of our dishes also very bad. The place itself very nice located. Maybe monopoly in this area gives the crew the idea they don’t...need to make an effort ;)More

Great location, very nice stuff, amazing food. We came by catamaran and found this place as friendly, comfortable and relaxing.

Out of the crowded season, a great place to eat a decent lunch / dinner and to take a swim in the sea. There's a picturesque little sandy beach within hand reach of restaurant tables, and docks for small sailboats. The service is relaxed but...courteous. Is probably overcrowded and unbearable in peak tourist season, because of the size of the place.More

We had dinner here twice during our week on Lastovo as it was only 150 m from the house we rented. Both times food was excellent and very good service. I had spiny lobster twice we also had excellent wine

The Porto Rosso experience was a mixed bag. Ultimately, food quality won. Monkfish and speck grilled medallions were out of this world, black risotto was amazing, grilled calamari were ok but a bit tough. The desert, vanila ice cream and cherry sauce crepes were to...die for! If the food quality was the only measure, this place would be a "come back as often as you can" no-brainer. ************** However, the rude, arrogant and downright disrespectful attitude of their lead waiter was so appalling and crass that, in the end, I will NEVER come back here again nor do I recommend anyone pay them a visit, either! ************** Our reservation call a day earlier was met with "oh, by a car" comment when we were asked how will we be arriving. Disappointed much? Then, our >clearly communicated< needed number of seats was taken down wrong what lead to a rude, lippy and disrespectful treatment upon our arrival. We were told "ok, we'll seat you all (they should already have known this) but you have to leave in (what amounted to) an hour. Only after lengthy and quite an unpleasant bargaining session, we were (what seemed as reluctantly as it only could be) allowed to sit out of the way of main area. Rude, rude, RUDE! Ultimately, all those precious seats we were so rudely told are "reserved days ahead" remained mostly empty during our stay. Besides excellent food, the only human interaction well worth mentioning was an amazing, young waiter who served us, Nikša S. I wish this young man all success in his career, he truly deserves it! Again, in the end, because of the reservation taking and APPALLING upon-arrival treatment, I do NOT recommend this restaurant!More

I was there just once but i had very mixed feelings. It is supposed to be the best restaurant in Lastovo and i think in some ways it is but...Firstly the food was very nice i got grilled octopus and it was very good. On...the other hand the waiter there was very rude. I felt like i was disturbing the waiter. He did not want to give me the table that i had chosen and he gave me table in the other side of the restaurant where the sun was. All in all i would recommend this restaurant if you are a patient person and you care just about the food and not about the service which is provided to you.More

We loved the food. I have been craving Squid and ordered a half kilogram portion and it was pure perfection. When the quality of the ingredient is so good, that no additional addorning is required!

Near by the sea, very nice place, good food, good service, excellent. Just to enjoy, don't even thing not too try!!!

I'm not thrilled with the food or the waiter that have served us. The food is ok but nothing special. Each side dish is paid extra. So you get the steak without any side dish. It's not a problem to pay another 30-40 kn but...I don't think it's attractive. For this mony you can eat much better on the island. The restaurant is nicely decorated and in an attractive location.More
