I've visited here a few times now. This visit was a definite let down. My food was OK but the other half's was decidedly underwhelming. I had ham, egg and chips which was fine but nothing to really write home about - one of the egg yolks was obviously broken when putting it into the pan and was completely solid... More

Just great food and a great little place with a good atmosphere. It's nice to find a coffee shop and cafè in a great spot selling great food.

We were delighted to arrange a coach trip to Southwell from North Staffordshire. The Minster and the Workhouse ! Lunch upstairs at The Old Theatre Deli in between was very special. Welcoming and efficient service, everything we had discussed was delivered to the highest standard and our food looked and tasted lovely. Heartfelt thanks to all, we delight in flying... More

We drove from Quorn to have lunch here, that's how good it is. Really nice outside space for eating or you can grab an inside seat if your lucky. It gets incredibly busy. We treated ourselves to lunch so I went the whole hog and had the steak pie with triple cooked chips. Wow. The portion was huge . Delicious... More

So I write this review with hesitance.. I've visited the deli regularly over the past few years with friends and family and have even recommended the place to others but more recently I have felt more let down with each visit and looking at the reviews it seems there is a common pattern ; gorgeous place, styling and ambiance but... We called for lunch ,following a friends recommendation, we were not disappointed. The weather was fine and we decided to sit outside, the staff supplied cushions for our chairs as soon as we selected our table. Excellent selection of sandwiches, available on at least four types of bread, which is supplied locally. Our food arrived promptly and was beautifully presented.... More

Stopped for a light lunch and opted for the seafood chowder from the specials menu. It was just perfect. Fresh, tasty and there were plenty of mussels. With 2 wedges of fresh artisan bread it exceeded our expectations. The cakes look very good too and will return to try them another time. Only drawback was the weather as there is... More

We visited Southall on Sunday and stumbled upon this lovely deli serving very nice food and cakes with an iced coffee. Also have a lovely range of soft drinks. Out-side seating area for sunny days. Highly recommended. Setting of Southall with its beautiful minster.

We went for breakfast having seen reviews on trip advisor and were not disappointred. A fabulous range of unusual breakfasts. Had the victory stack one of the best cooked breakfasts I have had. Also lovely real leaf tea in a pot with a cosy and v good coffee. The cafe is a little packed inside but on a nice day... More

We came to Southwell yesterday for lunch and a browse round the shops. On entering this establishment we noticed it was nicely decorated, light and everything was clean. I liked the jams and wines on display along with a few other items for customers to purchase. We ordered a pot of tea each which came with little tea cosy's (very... More
