Chez Ruben Restaurant

Situated in the heart of the village of Chamarel with its typical atmosphere and its waterspout gushing with water, and some minutes from the seven Colored Earth, the new restaurant is well known for its food and services. The Chef offers you the know-how and the diversity of the local food. Our specialty is seafood cooked in our famous local ways. We serve typically Southern and Northern Indian food cooked by our two experienced cooks from India. We also have a beautiful porch which is very famous among our clients. All is situated in a natural garden with lots of flowers and a fountain at the heart of the restaurant in a musical and natural environment. We also have a huge wedding hall that

Overpriced low quality food. The worst meal we had in Mauritius, price wise one of the most expensive ones we had. Staff absolutely disengaged with the customers. One waitress dropped a spoon on the floor, picked it up, put in the food and served it....More

Delicious food, and we thought price was quite reasonable considering location is amongst tourist attractions. Quite a local feel to it and loads of choice for vegetarians.

Our driver brought us here and maybe there’s a kick-back for the driver as many drivers seemed to be bringing in their tourists. But - he’d assured us previous customers had enjoyed their meal here - and so did we. Was it overpriced, as some...More

We stopped here for lunch after an exhausting but fascinating tour of the Chamaral falls and it's environs and guess that that applied to most of the clientele and therefore they cater mainly for tourists but having said that the menu was varied and we...More
