We dropped by unexpectedly while touring the South and managed to get good seats, though it did get filled up quite fast by 1pm. Not the easiest place to get to, but quite easy to spot as there's nothing else around. The views were spectacular especially on a sunny day. The food itself was good but overpriced. They offer Mauritian... More

Go here for the views. It's a beautiful restaurant, set in a garden a little outside of Chamarel. The restaurant is set on a hill with views extending to parts of the coast and Le Morne Brabant in the distance. The food is quite nice (most closely resembling local homestyle cooking), though not something we wanted to come back for,... More

We stopped for lunch and enjoyed a stunning view whilst eating. The food was decent (stewed wild boar) deserts were also suprisingly good. We were expecting worse because it is quite a comercial restaurant with a lot of tourists and tour companies but we were pleasently surprised. The staff were not entirely friendly though and seemed to be worked off... More

Lovely but fairly expensive restaurant, advisable to book ahead to get a seat with a view. Watch out out for the giant fruit bats that glide about across the valley. In the gardens there are pigmy hedgehogs just before you enter the restaurant. We visited twice during our holiday & enjoyed both occasions. For bird watchers look out for the... More

The view from the dining area is unreal I have never experienced anything like it and you are free to wander the gardens after eating the staff are polite and it is a place used as part of the summertimes tour as a place to have lunch which is included however you don't get an option on food and unfortunately... lunched here as part of Thomson trip. Food was lovely, but no-one on our table bought a drink as we all thought they were overpriced (£3 for a can of coke) Views were stunning, but as we were eating lunch, it rained (again) which unfortunately spoiled the views

Unfortunately the weather gods were not good to us here up in the hills. It rained from when we entered the Gorges and this included at this restaurant which would have had splendid views if the mist hadn't descended. The food was okay for such a large party, buffet style for the mains but very odd dessert. Good staff who... More

Pricy and very small portions, but amazing view. Asked for the fish, but I only got some bread with that and a small amount of vegetables. They should give some rice or something, and had to stop a few km's down the road because we were still hungry. The fish was good though...
