We were so impressed by our visit to Efra. Cosy and traditional and oozing rustic charm, the staff were young, cool, conscious and enthusiastic. Their love for both the venue and the food was so evident! It always makes for an enjoyable experience. The food...More

Small distance from the nice village of Sonogno, amidst nature, forest, mountain peaks and the small river. Grotto Efra has been there for decades, the owners offer specialties of the most beautiful Val Verzasca. Polenta e brasato, Polenta e Stracchin (gorgonzala, warm or cold) and...More

Very friendly and joyful reception. Run by a young couple and their friends. Very peaceful setting under shady trees near a waterfall. The costine, slow grilled (local speciality), are absolutely the best. A Pocolino or two and a very good Grappa to round everything off...More

Nice location (Verzasca Valley), menu with typical local foods, service there is margin to improve. The price definitely need to be reduced! For a family is to expencive. You can join the Grotto by car, bus or bike, not far from Locarno.
