We were recommended to come here as one of the best local restaurants where we were staying, and can see why. The host is really friendly, was completely unfazed by one of us being a vegetarian, suggested the best and most comfortable table to sit at, and the food came really quickly. Good Creole cooking - rice, sweet potatoes, blackeye peas and a salad for each of us, with tuna in coconut for Jenny as well and her salad also had salt fish and figs (green bananas). Good value - with a couple of beers apiece it still only came to EC$30-odd. Strongly recommended if you’re after local cuisine in a local place.

Four of us came to Laborie for an evening concert at Mama Rose. We ordered the "Fish of the Day" for us all and were all delighted with the shaved garlic atop of the Blue Marlin, the potato salad and shredded carrot side. Hungry for more later that evening, we ordered the potato wedges, wings and fries. The menu catered to everything we desired including our diet restriction of a dairy allergy. The owner made sure we were all well taken care of, and the restaurant made such a good impression on us that we returned two days later for another meal. I highly recommend stopping in Laborie just to eat and drink here!

When you go to this Laborie you must go to Mana Rose. This is a family run business the main man is Aidan. He is so helpful and so welcoming to the bar and village the locals that come there too are amazing.
The food is out of this world. All the fish is fresh from the fisher man from the village and Aidan will do anything for you. He even took me up to his farm up in the hills to see where he gets all his local produce from which is all organic.
He is also doing delivery of food and also delivery of breakfast.
Aidan runs the bar and restaurant with his two sisters. Do not miss going there. I will be back next time I am in St Lucia

Mama Rose has similar food selection as Mama Tilly. You pick your main dish from what is available-pork, chicken, fish. Then she will serve it to you with all of the sides available. The food is so good! She also serves some fast food-hamburgers, wings. It seemed so silly to order a burger, but I did one night and it was amazingly good. Her restaurant is right near the town square, so it is fun to people and dog watch. We saw other tourists, but mostly local people, which we enjoy. The dogs mostly have homes and look good, but wander freely and are friendly. It is safe to walk at night and you hear rock and country music from the nearby bars.
She does take credit cards, but something was up with the machine or connection, so bring cash. Local currency is a must in Laborie. Get it at the airport when you arrive or at the Massy grocery store ATM.

Went here around 8pm for dinner. Walked up to the bar to order. They asked if I wanted fish, chicken, or pork, and I said fish. It was grilled excellently and flavorfully, but had a good number of bones to pick out. Plantains, fries, and salad, were good too. That meal along with a cider and a water cost 45 ECD. Cats and dogs roamed the patio where I ate; only other customers sitting were a group of four foreigners. A few locals came and went purchasing from the bar.

So originally we went to a very popular Caribbean Restaurant but they weren’t ready to serve lunch. So we headed to Mama Rosa instead. Honestly, so happy we did! The atmosphere is great, right outside a square. We sat outside. Service was good but the food was even better. To compare the two, I think this place was better than the touristy place in town. The tuna was delicious (other place was over cooked and bland), rice had more flavor, the salad had a great light dressing (the other place didn’t) and the other place bbq chicken was also very bland and dry. Go to Mama Rosa and you will be happy.

A party of four. The waitress didn't ask what we'd like to drink. Someone asked for a straw for her drink and she's yet to receive it. We will not be back. The food was mediocre at best, reasonably priced if you're concerned about cost. They need to improve their customer service.

We had just landed in St Lucia and were starving! It was around 3, so options for lunch were limited. Our driver took us to Mama Rose’s and the food was very good. Since it was an odd time, they had run out of chicken wings, so I got the burger. The sauce on the burger was so good and not what I was expecting. Closest I can compare to is like Big Mac sauce. My friends enjoyed their meals as well. The woman behind the counter was really sweet and patient, helping us navigate the menu.

Best octopus creole ever! We had it 4 times. We loved this little place and it was a great bang for your buck. We enjoyed the food and were greeted with friendly service and smiles. A definite favorite to go back to!

We ate here once during a recent holiday. The food was good and the wine went down well. Strangely though, we went to eat another evening and it was closed. The same for the rest of the week. The rumour was that someone was ill, but there was no notice on the door with any information. A week later, on the day we were leaving, it opened again. Would like to have eaten there a few more times - that’s the Caribbean for you!

We were staying at the wonderful Balenbouche Estate about 10 minutes away and they recommended Mama Rose on our first night; we returned a few more times during our wonderful 2 week stay. Food is really good, drinks generous and Adon is wonderful. Was like an old friend by our 3rd or 4th visit! Dinner, Drinks, or just snacks (fish cakes were delish!) We also met some wonderful 'locals' and other visitors - really enjoyed the food and atmosphere - would light recommend.

Mama Rose is a really good restaurant the food is great and service is beyond expectation fresh fish served any style you want and I like the grill and it's always tender with a real tasty sauce can't miss that also fresh veggies are served tantalizing your taste buds and Aden the bartender/wateress is very friendly and his vibes is very positive.

We had a delightful lunch at this restaurant. Mama Rose came highly recommended locally and it lived up to its excellent reviews. Our waiter was incredibly attentive and accomodating. There were six of us, and the kitchen is fairly small so we waited a little, but we were happy and comfortable chatting until the food arrived! We had delicious accra (fishcakes), wonderful tuna, and really great burgers.
The place takes card and is very well priced, our food cost around £10 each including 3 Piton beers each, an astoundingly good price!
