Stopped in for a light lunch, homemade tomato & basil soup with bread & butter, then pot of tea for two served in China cups, proper tea with a strainer and smoked salmon and cream cheese on fresh brown bread with a good salad garnish. We both enjoyed immensely. What a pleasure to have something prepared by somebody that cares.The... More

Called in for a brief breakfast stop and enjoyed decent hot coffees and a couple of tasty cheese scones. Pleasant surroundings on a quiet morning, after a leg stretch around the characteristic atmosphere of this village.

We met family in Langholm on a typical Scottish summer day - it was pouring of rain. We looked for a cafe for lunch and found this one. On entering it appeared there was only a table for 2 and we were 3 adults and 3 children. A table of 4 at the window was reserved. We asked if we... More

This cafe is central and had some nice food. The coffee was okay. The staff were helpful. No toilet for customers.

I visited Langholm last year and remember this place as being very busy and so I ignored the poor service and unfriendly staff. However I returned today thinking perhaps I had misjudged this place to be treated the same- I was told one table is always kept spare so couldn't use it unless there were four of us ( there... We were visiting Langholm and I decided to have a coffee while waiting for my husband. I am severely visually impaired and had asked if I could sit at the window table as I wished to look at one of the magazines. The smaller table which I was sitting at was in a very dark area of the restaurant and... More

After receiving a very cold and unwelcoming reception, went on to order food (without being offered a menu?!) only to be huffed and puffed at by the lady behind the counter. I was made to feel like I was a complete inconvenience. I certainly won't be giving these ladies my custom again. Such a shame to see such poor service,... More

This is a cosy cafe near the middle of town. All we had were coffees which were of a good standard. Tempting cake but none tried on this occasion. Friendly staff too.

On a day trip to Langholm we popped in for lunch. Firstly, the cafe was empty and after we'd sat down at the window table, we were immediately asked to move to a table for two!! Then the waitress just ignored us completely. After going to the counter to give our order, I was asked to take a seat and... More
