About
Zeerovers is a local bar and restaurant situated on the waterfront in the fishermen's town of Savaneta. Here we serve fresh fried fish and shrimps with side orders of fried plantain, french fries, pan bati(local version of cornbread), onions in vinegar and tartarsauce. Everything is served to you in a basket as you sit on the dock overlooking the water as fishermen bring in their catch which in fact could have been your meal if you came a few hours later. That said, this is not a place for fancy dining but rather a place where you are welcomed to kick back, relax and get your hands dirty.

This time we rented a car and I was able to do everything on this side of...the island and this was everything I expected. Its a must visit for lunch!!! My red snapper was SOOOO GOOD!!! The tartar sauce I licked out of the container lol YUMMM!! We had so much seafood and sides and for the amount the price was great! So fresh and deliciousMore

Our first stop as soon as we landed. Best fish, shrimp and fries...anything they serve. Customer service is amazing! The seasoning is the best! Took some coconut ice cream to go. Only restaurant we ate at twice during our week in Aruba. Going back in...December and we’ll be regulars for the week. Coldest beer we had on the island is a bonus ❤️More

Great food, fresh off the boat! You sit right on the water with a great view. Look I to the water you’ll see 4’ Tarpon swimming around looking for your leftovers.

The snapper and shrimp that my wife and I shared for lunch was fresh, tasty and well-seasoned. The Amberjack steak we shared was over-cooked, due to the thinness of the steak. Great atmosphere, dining right on the water ... you may want to explore some...better signs for first timers, we didn't know how to order or what to do and were informed very gruffly by an older employee.More

We went to zeerovers for lunch on our honeymoon. Our taxi driver said that Zeerovers is “a place that you start eating with your forks and finish eating with your hands” and he was right! We loved everything! We ordered shrimp, snapper, and cornbread and...the food was amazing!! It is a fun and enjoyable atmosphere right next to the water! The food was so good that I had to buy a shirt!More

Superb fantastic! I visit Aruba annually and stay at my best friends place, who is a local physician who works in the hospital. One of the first things we do is going to Zeerover, because it’s so fantastic to sit outside and eat fresh fish...and prawns with chips and a cold beer. Both tourists who know the place and many locals visit zeerover. We try to come in early so we can sit on the floating terrace. Fish and birds are swimming in the sea around you, the atmosphere is of complete peace and rest. Bring cash money, you have to order your fish and prawns and drinks at the entrance and pay on forehand. De choose of fish and prawns depend on the catch of the day. Additional drinks can be ordered at the bar later. They do not accept any credit or debit cards.More

Looked forward to this restaurant since reading about it before our trip. We stayed in the lowrise area so it took 2 buses to get us here but it was well worth it. So friendly--I explained it was our first time and the ladies were...so nice and helped us order. The food was FRESH and excellent! We had shrimp, red snapper and mahi, The side dishes were tasty too! (fries, "corn bread", onions in vinegar) We had leftovers and the waitstaff wrapped them us for us--enough for another meal.More

Stood in line in order to place our order.A choice of to fish which they weigh in order to determine the cost. Fresh shrimp also. Side dishes of french fries, plantains, cornbread, onion and vinegar or tartar sauce. One snapper whole fish per person. Three...snappers, another piece of fresh fish, a pound of shrimp, two corn breads, french fries and plantain’s cost $89. Sat outside at the end of the pier. Lovely. Saw the fishing boats come in bringing the fresh fish for the restaurant. Aside from the long line and wait to get in, it’s a nice fast and Local restaurantMore

I highly recommend visiting, ideally at sunset. The food is simple, deep fried, but it is also inexpensive and the atmosphere is great. One of our favorite places on the island. Go at least once so you know what this place is all about. Note:...COVID restrictions and guidelines in place and observed.More
