Visited with my elderly father for lunch on Sunday. Called ahead to see if you had to book (told advisable) when I mentioned about my father being a wheelchair user, the lady on the phone very helpfully and kindly offered to let me park on the access ramp in front of the pub which we duly did (thank you). Upon... More

Located overlooking a large village green, The Bell Inn offers good value menu and quality food. The staff were efficient , courteous and friendly. The pub is notably busy and popular indicated by the number of outside bench and table seating. Most definitely recommended for the discerning visitor Michael Edwards

Lovely location right beside the village green, and has lots of benches outside to drink and eat at. The pub was quite busy on a lunch time mid week, but service was pretty good. Lots of choices on the menu, and food was reasonable quality and good value when it came. I would go back if i was in the... More

I booked the Skittle Alley for my 60th Birthday party (50 guests). The Skittle Alley includes a separate bar, juke box and dart board and The Bell provided an excellent compere for the night who organised the skittles match and also provided a "sticker-up". Half way through the evening we were treated to a scrumptious hot and cold buffet. Everyone... More

We called in on the off chance Sunday mid afternoon. The pub was fairly busy but we quickly got a table and ordered Sunday lunch. There was only a short wait, the food was served with vegetables separate, plenty of extra gravy in a boat and horseradish in a small dish. It was excellent, we had thought of having a... More

We visited The Bell Inn to celebrate my sister's 50th birthday. We were a party of 12 and had reserved a table in the restaurant. There was a good choice of food on the menu as well as some additional options on the specials board. Being an Inn and the local village pub there is a good range of beers... More

Last Sunday I went to The Bell for lunch. After an ice cold Guinness I ordered a Sunday roast dinner, which was scrumptious! It was a lovely English summers day and sitting outside with other customers was a very social and relaxing way to enjoy the meal.

Had a lovely lunch sat outside the pub by the common. Food was excellent and despite it being very busy was served quite quickly. Will return especially for pie night which looks tempting. The only issue was the length of time to be served with only one "rushed off her feet" barmaid who had difficulty deciding who was next to... More

I thoroughly enjoyed my meal at The Bell. I had nearby accommodations but as it was chilly and windy, I drove and parked in the tidy and convenient car park behind the building. With both traditional walk-up service and table service, I chose to sit near the bar and when I went to the bar to order, I was greeted... More

I visited here in April 2016 and the food was really flavoursome with great presentation. They were more than happy to go out of their way to accommodate to dietary requirements that we had (gluten-free), and we weren’t kept waiting either. The staff were lovely and very friendly, and the general atmosphere was very welcoming. We will be sure to... More
