Izmir-Istanbul is a pretty place on the state road. Delicious food, coffee, tea available. You can also buy local products such as olive oil, soap, jams.

If you need a break on the road between İzmir and Istanbul, Ceren Café is a very good choice. The place is really pleasant, extremely clean and well decorated. Fireplace in winter and a beautiful sunny terrace in summer. Coffee is perfect and homemade food...is delicious. Large choice of bakery and warm dishes. The only concern is about the service. Waiters are polite and kind but extremely shy and stressed due to a very rigid management.More

Anyone driving towards popular Turkish southern destinations from Istanbul or returning back to Istanbul should not miss this stop. Two separate outlets located next to Shell petrol stations exist for both southbound and northbound traffic. There is an espresso bar with superb espresso and other...coffee choices. I will highly recommend the homemade traditional lemonade. Restaurant has great choices. My favorite is manti, Turkey's answer to ravioli. Gas station market is excellent as well. The most popular stop between Istanbul and Izmir probably remains Susurluk rest area with Festiva outlet, two separate Starbucks outlets, McDonalds etc, Sanifair operated bathrooms but if you don't want to deal with crowds and still want to remain right next to highway to save time, Cerentur restaurant is a great choice.More
