We had dinner a few weeks ago, the food was very average indeed. Too much salt and therefore not tasty. The dessert creme catalan was overpowered by a too strong orange taste . Service was OK

We sat at the entrance where the double doors where open and it was cool and comfortable. We had fish : cabillaud, which was good. The entrée of charcuterie was large. The only negative comment is that the red wine we ordered was served warm....Very friendly service.More

Lovely lunch on a rainy day. Lucky to get in as many customers turned away due to it being full. Really good quality ingredients and friendly service. Clearly frequented by both tourists and locals- a sure sign it can't be bad! Thoroughly recommend and will...revisit when we're back next year! One thing to note - they don't accept card payments. Cash only! Cash point is about 150 m from restaurant.More

We tried the gamba's, which were deliciously seasoned with fresh garlic and herbs. Accompanied with French fries. Good portions. Friendly service 😀

I came to Villefrsanche to take the yellow train to Mount Louis. When I returned I had 3 hours to visit Villefranche before my train to return to Perpignan. It is worth the walk all the way up the rue Saint Jean! This is a...charming restaurant with an excellent menu. Today he had about 6 special dishes for 14 euros and for 18 euros you could add an entree and a dessert. I chose the salade gourmande. It was delicious and the service was very nice. The place was packed! I am a solo traveler and found this small restaurant to be a special gem. It is decorated with an old farmhouse decor and the buzz of conversation was very welcoming. I would certainly go back and the price was very reasonable for the service and quality of the meal.More

This was a lovely lunch from beginning to end. Food was really good, and value for money too. Waiter spent a lot of time with us, explaining the menu and said we could make changes if we wanted. Opted for the set menu. Even when...the place filled up, the waiters found time to serve us, bring more water etc. Thoroughly enjoyed this little gem. Spoke little English but we managed to communicate with my school-boy French and some willingness on their part!More

I visited this friendly little restaurant twice in 5 days. On the first visit I chose the calamari from the specials menu, which was delicious. I haven't tasted calamari as tasty as that outside Greece! The second visit, I chose the Catalan lasagne - which...was sublime. Spicy, but not hot & absolutely fantastic. The waiter on both nights was friendly & made me feel very welcome. I highly recommend this restaurant & saw families with small children on both nights I visited - so it's family friendly too.More

We picked up on an earlier review plus we had this place recommended by some local people we knew. It unpretentious welcoming and has a good choice of well cooked food. The vegetarian pasta got a big thumbs up from our wives and steaks were...v good from the two fussy young adults with us. Red House wine was a pleasant accompaniment. Attentive owner with charming smile made this a surprise place and a bill that was way more reasonable than Le Patio. Don't walk past this place.More
