This was our last stop before going to watch Norwich play Villa and well worth going that extra distance to sample the delights of The Chaucers Green Dragon.which is brewed by the pubs own brewery. A nice friendly pub well worth a visit especially if you like your real ales.

The Green Dragon brews its own ales - they are excellent value and good quality. The pub hasn't entered into the 21st century yet. It isn't spit and sawdust, iy isn't polished brass - its a genuine friendly pub which I am happy to visit and enjoy their ales. Every Wednesday there is a curry night. Once again there isn't... On Wednesday nights they often have curry on the menu board. It is best I have eaten from a pub. highly recommended. The real ales are top notch as well.

Went there to eat on a weekeday evening in Ocrtober - but no food. Even the weekly 'curry night' had been cancelled. But the pub itself (with its home brewed ale) is very local / cosy and well worth visiting. Dogs welcome!

We always try to visit when in Bungay. The beer is extremely good - well kept and clear. Although they don't do any lunches and we arrived very hungry, the very friendly and welcoming young girl said that they were more than happy for us to go to the local deli and buy our lunch and take it back to... Arrived around 6 ish to a lively and friendly atmosphere. .. ordered 2 chicken tikas with poppadoms and onion bhajis.. curry night seemed extremely popular .... even so our plates were brought to our table... You have to visit the Green Dragon if you enjoy a traditional beer. This pub brews it own beer. and a wonderful beer it is to.. I enjoy a Mild and Bitter and not many pubs keep Mild these days, but the Green Dragon brew a terrific Mild and combined with the best Bitter, its heaven.

Curry night at The Green Dragon is highly recommended. Really excellent food. Get there early though and place your order as the place really does get busy. And just in case you were wondering - they have the very best beer in Bungay. I will say that again - They have the VERY BEST beer in Bungay!

We always try to pop into The Green Dragon when we are in Bungay and it is a favourite place to take visitors who enjoy a real ale. The Green Dragon brews its own and thus can do a proper pint for a reasonable price. A number to choose from and you can have fun discovering your favourite. Not eaten... More
