This was our local for a week and they have clearly put some effort into establishing it as a good option for eating out over the last couple of years. A fine selection of popular meals on offer plus some nice fish options on the specials board. I had a very good sirloin steak. Wanless Junior enjoyed his traditional ham,... More

Here on holiday with family. Only booking time available 2030! So have got to assume that busy is good and we weren't disappointed. The food was delicious and portions substantal. The service was excellent and nothing was too much trouble. We all cleared our plates but still had room for deserts. Chocolate Fudge cake to die for, Pavlova suberb. Would... More

We arrived at about 5.45pm hoping for an early dinner. They didn't start serving until 6pm, so we sat in the car park. We went in at 6pm. We hadn't booked, but they were able to find us a table. Just as well. On all other nights of our stay there was a sign saying fully booked. We were mad... More

We were staying only a few miles down the road, and called in as we were passing. Seems booking is really essential here, but as it was early they found us a table before the reserved booking Very friendly staff, lovely surrounding, we saw the size of the pudding being taken to the table next to us, it was amazing,... Visited for dinner after reading glowing reviews on Trip Adviser and were not disappointed. A truly delicious reasonably priced meal served by friendly and helpful staff. A delightful dining experience and will return when next in the area. Thank you for such great service.

Went for grandson's 7th birthday. They decorated the table and after the meal brought out our own birthday cake with a flaming sparkler, he was thrilled. Tasty food, plenty of choice, very good steaks, reasonably priced. Excellent service. Nice clean toilets! A great evening.

We ate in the bar for a mid week evening meal and the place was packed, There was a good atmosphere with a mix of people and ages and clearly many repeat visitors. Despite how busy they were, we were not rushed and the table was ours for the evening. The menu is varied with traditional pub food, fresh fish... More

Good position right next to the main road, large car park. We had lunch and it was very busy, they had to turn people away while we were there. The food is really good, well presented and nice staff. But, we were told the wait for the food was 45mins, and it was 50mins. It's all cooked when ordered but... More
