Greeted by a friendly landlord who worked hard and attended to our needs. Lovely starter of whitebait, mains and delicious puds, enjoyed by us and our 2 teenage sons. 6 drinks, 1 starter, 4 mains, and 2 puds came to £80

Every year we come down this way in the summer holidays. We like to visit the hunters every time as it is always amazing. The food selection is amazing not to mention the amazing puddings. The food quality is always excellent and the service from all the staff you can't beat. If you are in the area I would recommend... More

Visited on a Thursday lunchtime as part of a party of nine for my mum's 70th birthday. I wasn't aware that they were going to do it but decorations had been put up around and on the table, which was a nice surprise. From the time we arrived to a couple of hours later we were looked after very well... More

We were looking for a pub that served food Sunday evening and decided to give it a try after driving past. The restaurant was very busy, the staff really friendly and efficient and loads of choice with hearty pub meals and locally sourced fish etc! There was a confusion with the main I ordered but they were quick to rectify... More

Visited with the young family and didn't book which was a worry as when we got there it stated they were fully booked. They still managed to squeeze us in and we had no problems with any waiting times. Games were offered for the children (we recommend pigs in pants, brought a laugh to us all). Nice food, nice ale... I had a meal here tonight with some friends. I've driven past here literally hundreds of times in the past 15 years and haven't stopped once. The atmosphere was pleasant, the staff polite and welcoming and the food was hearty and tasty. I really cannot say enough about this place. I had the antipasti starter and 16oz rump steak cooked... We visited here after reading the reviews on Tripadvisor and were not disappointed. Really friendly and welcoming staff and incredibly well presented and tasty meals. The portion sizes are really generous. The new york chicken was simply divine and the desserts sumptuous. We will be back!

I was a little disappointed with my lunch, maybe it was because it is highly recommended and I expected a little more. The restaurant area was a little run down and unwelcoming. Might have been better to eat in the bar area. As far as the food goes it was average, not a lot to complain about but nothing to... More
