I can't comment on the food because we had none! We had travelled for several hours and we're looking forward to some fresh seafood. We found a table overlooking the sea, complete with menus. We made our choice, but when my husband went to place our order he was told they had stopped serving food an hour earlier. So why... More

Had the kipper scotch egg which was fab. Lovely fish. Would have loved to see more kippers on the menu. Wine great. View awesome. Would recommend.

We visited this pub at lunchtime on Wednesday 17 August. It was a beautiful day and the whole village was very busy. On entering the bar I saw a notice advising customers that food orders would take at least 45 minutes. We found a small table for two and I went to the bar to order food and drinks. I... More

The Northumberland coast now has a number of good seafood restaurants , this compares favourably with the best but has the added advantage of directly overlooking the sea and harbour , so sit with your binoculars if you like. The dishes whilst all to the usual fish theme were sufficiently different and so made more enjoyable and interesting . Blue... More

Despite this being a very busy pub and restaurant, the service is excellent. I can recommend the fishcakes, but all the fish is good. There are fantastic views from the top part of the restaurant, as the building is right on the cliffs. Dogs are allowed in the bar. There is no problem if someone just wants a crab sandwich... More

This was recommended to us and because it was a Friday, we decided to book, which was a very wise decision. We were told on the phone the times available, for us to have a window seat and not be seated in the main bar. The pub is set in a very pretty village and on arrival, looks like just... More

We visited the pub whilst on holiday this week and were very impressed by the views and atmosphere inside the busy pub. There were delays to service of food and the pub had stopped taking orders due to the restaurant being busy. I do feel this situation could have been handled better as the staff member was not very apologetic... More

This was my third visit here and last. The food is nice, just overpriced for the size of the dish. The customer service isn't the best either. I guess they feel that the custom will roll in through the door whatever. The contrast with the welcome up the road in the cafe is measurable. It's only me who likes seafood... More

So- its been a long time since Gail and I had a day out walking- we decided to drive up to Craster and start the day with a visit to the Jolly Fisherman- This pub has changed so dramatically- it used to be just a village pub, but now it is a Foodie's delight- They have added a balcony and... More

Wednesday lunchtime at 1:30. Chaos around the bar, not enough staff and too many frustrated customers trying to order drinks and food. Took me nearly ten minutes to order drinks. Very lucky to get a table upstairs. Food arrived promptly. Salmon sandwich was good, chips were fine, but my cheese ploughman was a huge disappointment at £10, two slices of... More
