This pub boasts it serves a famous crab sandwich. I'm sure such a statement attracts a lot of visitors coming to this charming little town. The pub overlooks the harbour, it has a lovely restaurant with big glass windows and a nice bar and pub garden. We called in for some food following a bike ride in the area. The... More

Visited on a week day evening and the restaurant was fairly busy, so I would recommend booking. The menu is a good varied menu, a specially for fish lovers, but there is also meat dishes too. We were a party of 11, but this was not an issue for the restaurant. The food was freshly cooked and everything was cooked... More

Walked to Craster yesterday for lunch. Went to the Jolly Fisherman again. Popular and busy as always. Had a pint of Timothy Taylor's, very refreshing, followed by The Seafood Platter. The sour dough bread was to die for and the platter had plenty of variety on it with prawns, smoked salmon, kipper pate (what would you expect from a village... More

No need to book, just be prepared to wait for a table and it's worth the wait. Good food at reasonable prices and fabulous real ales and great wines. Sea views from the upper dining area too. We've been returning visitors for 10 years now. Fabulous hospitality.

Lovely view of the sea. We went for Sunday lunch and it was great. We booked for the restaurant as it gets busy as bar does menu as well. Good range of starters and mains. Nice puddings! Great children's menu. Very good service, welcoming and speedy! Will definitely return.

This pub has fabulous views of the beach and coastline, especially from the seats outside. The food is good, especially the seafood platter.

Had a great lunch here after the walk to Dunstanburgh Castle. As the only pub in the village they have cornered the market - great location overlooking the sea etc... Busy & friendly and accommodated our well behaved dogs under the tables, We all had the home made soups - crab and roasted tomato - both delicious with a cut... More

We have been here for lunch but this time we went for dinner. The food was delicious.... The crab soup certainly deserves it's reputation. The service was good. We felt relaxed and the price was perfect for the quality.

After a bracing walk from Craster to Dunstanburgh Castle, our appetites were sharp as we returned to Craster. The Jolly Fisherman offered superb beers, friendly and efficient service, superb food and a welcome for our dog. A lovely place to eat with a wonderfully cosy atmosphere.

Great food and service, the crab soup is amazing, the salt and chilli squid as starter is melt in your mouth. Then we had pan seared lamb main which was cooked to perfection. The pudding selection tore me apart but ended with benoffee which was lovely. You need to book to ensure that you are not disappointed. Our third great... More
