Have heard so many good things about this restaurant, I was not disappointed. My party of three had a window seat on a lovely evening - we ate off the blackboard and the food was just lovely. Scallops follow by Halibut with a crab crust and then cheesecake. Service was attentive and good. Well done Jolly Fisherman.

Ate he both in the garden for snack and inside for resturant, both meals were lovely. Service can be a bit slow as the pub is very popular and has quite a few different eating areas. It is worth booking if you want the upper area with sea views. I good selection on the menu and a different menu for... More

Went here with some friends after a long walk and was not disappointed. Cold beer, crab sandwiches and beef dripping chips to die for! Service was quick and food reasonably priced. Had to wait a little bit for a table outside as was busy but was worth the wait. Downside? Larger sandwiches would have been good and maybe a choice... More

9 of us (plus 2 dogs) descended on the pub for a Sunday lunch birthday celebration with good memories of the last meal we had. Because of the dogs we could not eat in the restaurant upstairs and had to stay in the bar area which meant not being able to reserve a table. Not a problem, we just ensured... More

First impressions.. Very welcoming and busy beer garden as the only dog friendly pub/eatery in Craster. Ordered food, a (toastie, pate and chips) with a very helpful lady at 12.10pm sat outside and enjoyed the views and the lovely weather, after 1 hour I went in and asked politely if our meal would be long. The same helpful lady chased... More

We may be getting a bad impression as it is peak time but we arrived early and found the place chaotic. We were told the restaurant area was reserved so we went in the bar area.(the restaurant did not seem to fill up) We sat there for ages watching other people who had arrived earlier eat their meals. We had... More

We ate here twice, once at lunch and once in the evening (having booked for the latter). The lunchtime was very good. After a long walk from Embleton along the coast and past the Castle, some cold lagers and food were exactly what we needed. The view from the back is amazing, and if you are lucky to get a... More

I have been to this pub quite a few times and always have crab sandwiches, which I enjoy. I went on Sunday 24th July and things are not as they were. The bread was a bit dry, there was hardly any crab filling and I could taste something odd in them, I think it was horseradish which is a weird... More

This pub is on the main coastal route for drivers, walkers, cyclists etc but no matter how busy the Jolly Fisherman gets, food and drink are always served quickly. They have the perfect balance of a small, delicious menu and plenty of staff. You can sample Craster kippers here then nip across the road to the smokehouse to buy some... More

We walked to Dunstanburgh Castle, one of the most beautiful places imaginable, then back to the village of Craster, where we had delicious meal looking out to sea. The food was good, service friendly, and the setting incomparable.
