Very cozy, nicely located restaurant with innovative dishes. The food was delicious, albeit the portions were a bit smaller than I expected. We had a tasty lettuce salad, which was fresh and dressed to perfection. It was garnished with peanuts. In my opinion, cashews or...almonds would have been more compatible. We had the Lag Baomer (bonfire) fish. Highly recommended. Lastly, we ordered the ravioli, which was absolutely scrumptious. Alma is not advertised as a fish restaurant. However, its menu consists predominantly of fish dishes. I would like to have found on the menu more non-fish items. Unfortunately, the refreshing idea of offering a variety of alcoholic iced tea concoctions was a disappointment. We ordered a pitcher of lemon grass "tea" that for some reason, they couldn't make. Our second choice was orange and coconut, but one of the ingredients seemed to be off, so we returned it. All and all a really nice restaurant. We will definitely return.More

That bar restaurant is located adjacent the seashore, in the northern part of Ashdod. Very convenient accessibility and nearby free parking. The place is relatively roomy, friendly and welcoming. You may choose between sittings inside the restaurant, around the tables on the covered porch or...on the outside front yard, along the street. Restaurants' creative menu features a nice variety of amazing, very tasty Mediterranean (vegetarian) and fish dishes, from fresh seasonal ingredients. The main concept of the restaurant is serving relatively smaller Tapas-style dishes (a commendable attitude….) allowing guests tasting a bigger selection of dishes. All courses we had: Artichoke and Beets, Mushrooms Risotto, Spinach Angeletti and Fish Carpaccio were delicious and nicely presented. The only downside, in our view, was the service that was friendly… but a bit amateurish. We have visited several times, for lunch) on the weekends usually) in this pleasing restaurant, during the past year and be glad to do that up again.More

The food was good. We took the round table meal, it's a seven course dinner. I was disappointed due the service preform. We let the waiter to order the dishes for us. We expected to get fish fillet main course but we got pasta with...salmon pieces fish dish instead. You don't go to a fish restaurant to eat pasta. Maybe it's was a wrong expectation...More
