We booked a table for 20.00 hrs not indicating whether we wanted to eat in or outside. When we arrived the outside tables were all taken (and is was very hot inside), but the waiter kindly told us just to wait a few minutes and...he would have a table for us. So we were installed very quickly and also received immediately some appetizers (good quality olives and warm fresh bread). The place was bustling with people and therefore we had a wait for quite a while for the main courses which turned out to be excellent - and well worth waiting for we thought. Service was friendly and efficient. Will go back there, even inside - as it's quite attractive and the tables not too close to one another. An added bonus is that the Place Fernand Cocq has been "renovated" quite recently and is therefore very pleasant nowadays to visit.More

RACIST AND RUDE!! We arrived at the restaurant 10 minutes before they stopped taking orders. We kindly asked if we could be seated and the waiter (blonde young guy) rolled his eyes and only said "you have 5 minutes, 5!! We need to go to...sleep". We thanked him, chose our food in 2 minutes and he took our order all the while rolling his eyes and treating us as if he was doing us a favour. We didn't think much of it and blamed it on the fact that he was at the end of his shift and was probably tired. One more couple came after us, ordered and got served without being yelled at for coming 2 min before closing! The waiter continued to be rude and abrupt throughout our interaction. We finished our food (which was actually good) and asked for the bill and he came up with an overall bill of the table. It was 4 of us so we asked to pay separately by card to which the waiter answered that we couldn't and we had to pay everything together. We looked at him in shock as it is common practice to pay separately, but he kept saying no and that he wasn't joking and made my friend pay for everything leaving us with the problem of sorting it out. We accepted that it was their policy and we were ready to be on our way when he went to the next table to get the bill to 3 Belgian people. We were speaking in English but I also speak French and I heard them saying that they wanted to split the bill three ways, to which the waiter said of course and took the payments SEPARATELY! I was staring at him in disbelief and be came to ask me if something was wrong and I let him know that we were not stupid and his behaviour was discriminatory! He thought that we were actually tourists so he wasn't bothered about us not coming again and he treated us differently than the locals. He tried to make up a lie about different bills but he gave up quickly as it made no sense and offered as limoncello as a cure for having suffered racist behaviour. I refused and left and I'll make sure I'll never go back to this immensely inappropriate place of business. Avoid if you are not Belgian and don't want to be discriminated against.More

I first visited here with my sister in November and had 2 mains, 2 desserts and a bottle of wine. We couldn't fault the food, the pizza was the best I had had in Brussels but... The following week I brought my boyfriend and we...ordered 2 pizzas and 2 small Leffe beers. The beer was brought out in a 750ml bottle and it served two glasses with a little left over. We really enjoyed our food and went up to the bar to pay, knowing that the bill was going to be under €40. I handed over my card before looking at the bill and I only looked at it while the waitress was entering the cost of the meal into the card machine. I saw that the total was €46. I could see the price of two pizzas and another item "bars divers" (i.e. miscellaneous) which was €18. The waitress was having problems with the card machine (luckily) and I asked her what the €18 was as I assumed it was a mistake. She told me it was for the two beers and was instantly defensive when I said that wasn't the price displayed on the menu. She said the bottle we had cost €18 and when I started to say that she should have told us the different price before serving us the beer, she started to get really angry with me. As she was fiddling with the machine trying to get it to work, another waitress passed by me and I asked her if I could see the menu to check I hadn't made a mistake with the pricing. The original waitress started giving out in French when I was handed the menu, threw my card down on the bar and stormed off down to the back of the restaurant. My boyfriend picked up my card and we looked at the menu and saw that €18 for Leffe was nowhere to be seen. The waitress came back and tried to grab (no exaggeration) the card out of my boyfriend's hand and he had to step back to stop her from doing so. I then asked her to show me on the menu where the €18 Leffe was and she obviously couldn't and started saying "what you want me to pay? You want me to pay of it". I told her I was more than happy to pay for the two small beers I had ordered, or even the bigger size seeing as there was still 90ml left in the bottle. This sounds ridiculous, but we then had a staredown until she eventually stormed off again giving out. At this point, another waitress came over and asked me to explain what was going on, I did and she said it was no problem and adjusted the bill - she was very calm and friendly. I want to be clear that I am not the kind of person to start an argument with someone in a busy restaurant but I've never felt so disrespected or mistreated by someone. I worked in restaurants for 4 years that is not the way to treat people. Also, I had 5 friends coming to visit me the following weekend and having had such a good experience the first time I visited I had planned to bring them here for pizza. Obviously, following the second experience I haven't gone back since which was a pity because I really really enjoyed their pizza and it's close to where I live. I have since found a pizza just as good in Prego at Place Jourdan. Moral of the story: double check your bill in this place and stand your ground with the waitress. To be honest, if she hadn't reacted in such a rude way when I asked about the €18 I probably would have just paid it and left but I was so shocked at how she treated us I wasn't going to do that.More

It is a good place to eat good Italian food, maybe not the most authentic, but enough to have a good lunch or dinner. Especially nice is the terrace when the weather is nice.

We were 5 and we arrived here looking for a quick dinner. The pizza menu is quite long and with a lot of nice variations. Also other plates were interesting. The dining rooms are quite large and comfortable.waiters kind and the overall service was good....We would go again for sure to enjoy other typical foods and pizzaMore
