Very nice place, great staff. Tasty food. We took Irish stake and prawns with garlic, those were really good. One of good things was that kitchen was open after "average lunch time" that was 12.00-14.30. But on the expensive side.

Have visited a number of times both for lunch and evening meal . Was going to have a snack but as my companion said on my first visit I really enjoyed the rabbit stew , so I went for it and it was even better this time . She enjoyed the chicken in tarragon sauce .

We came up out of the Metro station in Ixelles hungry and just happen onto Le Trappiste. We enjoyed a very good lunch with very good service. I had an Irish steak and chips which was outstanding. Everyone else was very satisfied with what they ordered. They also have a good selection of Belgian beers. What more could you what... More

This restaurant is very central, the food is good but not exceptional, several traditional dishes such as the a Jambonneau in the oven with Moutarde sauce. Many other dishes are served. The French fries are good as usually in Belgium.

We wnt there for breakfast and had a croque Madame (Ham and cheese Sandwich with cheese and egg on top). I really liked the croque Madame (could have had more ham with it) but Overall it was a great choice!

The place is quite ordinary but also very nice. The food is always good - nothing fancy, but a good meal in good Belgian style. Price level quite okay and service fast.

Would I recommend this place as a restaurant you should go to when in Brussels? Not necessarily. Why? Because there is nothing extra ordinary about this place. However if you are around the area, it is a recommendable Brasserie serving perfectly fine basic Belgian food. Also nice, you sit outside in the afternoon or evening and just enjoy a beer.... More

We have been here several times. It's a quite busy Brasserie with a good selection of food and beer. The waiters were always friendly and helpful. Portions are very good sized.

Very popular Brasserie type...old-style and loads of noise but we are here to eat and food was excellent. I don't know about the rest of the food but my wife and I took a Salmon + Spinach Lasagne and it was really exquisite. Very fresh and tasty...very very quick service. I also took a "Dame Blanche" ice cream, served the... More
