We loved the place! The service was really friendly, the mussels, a specialty of the restaurant, are exquisite (try the Moules du Chef), a few Belgian beers, some real tasty Belgian fries, we shared a great time. The best remedy so far against the current covid gloom. Thank you :-)

"Le Chou" is one of the best restaurants I have been to in Brussels, highly recommended by our Belgian friends, We were warmly welcomed by the owner Manu on arrival, and we were impressed by the cozy environment and personable service. The food was delicious traditional Belgian fare. I selected the three course menu, enjoying "tomate crevettes" as a starter, accompanied by fries and followed by sea bass and a Dame Blanche. The food and wine list is very reasonably priced (the Montagny 1er Cru was excellent!). My wife and I will definitely be returning!

We booked a table here on a Friday night and although we were one of the few tables in at the start of the night, later on it was very full, so I'd maybe recommend booking. We did try mussels, but they weren't really out thing (it's us, not Le Chou) and the main courses were well cooked. My boyfriend had the duck, which was nicely pink, although the sauce was quite sweet (cherry beer). My beef stew was lovely and tender and the chips were great. I had waffle for pudding and that was also delicious with the cream. There was also a good range of beers on offer. Staff were very friendly and attentive. My only slight issue was that courses were a bit too big. Obviously this wouldn't be an issue for some, but I do have quite a big appetite and I like to have three courses. I did manage three, but I had to make sure I left quite a bit of my stew to make room for the waffle! It's definitely excellent value though if you go for the fixed price three course menu.

This is without any doubt one of the best restaurants in Brussels. Their specialty is mussels (around 20 recipes)but also dishes are delicious. Prices are reasonable, service is perfect not in the least thanks to the chef who incarnates the authentic Brusseleir. Good atmosphere, good wines, excellent food and an authentic interior; what do you want more?

This is a nice local restaurant with really friendly staff. The food comes quick as well which is a plus. We had foie de gras for the starter which was lovely and for main my husband had moules frites (this is 80% of the menu) and I had past with tomato and basil as I am not a huge fan of mussels. Moules frites were super nice but pastA was something I am still recovering from, 2 days later. I have never had this much garlic in a dish (and I am Mediterranean) and even though the portion is massive, it is hardly eatable as the only thing you taste is garlic. So - skip the pasta here and stick to moules frites!

The waiting staff were fantastic and very accommodating! They make sure our 1 year old daughters food come to the table straight away. She had the meatballs (homemade) and frites which were both delicious. My wife and I had the moules and frites, a glass of house white. Simply put it was incredible! We sat in the garden area and ended up staying for three hours as it was such a lovely atmosphere. Most restaurants aren't overly keen on young children, but they went out of their way to accommodate us and our daughters needs. As we left we spoke to a gentlemen sitting at a near by table who told us we had eaten at the best restaurant in Brussels and that he had been dining there for 25 years. I can understand why! Thank you Le Chou De Bruxelles for one of the best meals and dining experiences we have had in a long time! We will be back!!!

Dined here together with 2 friends last Friday. On arrival, we were given the choice to sit outside which we gladly accepted. We all opted for the 3 course menu which was very good value. Starter, mains and dessert for EUR34, whereby you could choose any starter from the menu. All 3 courses tasted great and the service was excellent, too, attentive and friendly. Also, we were not rushed to vacate the table at any point, Highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely return.

Superb experience. Delicious dishes and sumptuous desserts. Note: for those who take the mussels marinière you will have the great pleasure of seeing a waiter tie a bib around your neck. Nice and fun. Very beautiful decorations of lithographs and photographs by Jacques Brel. Variations of objects on the Maneken Piss. We strongly recommend!

This little gem of a place is tucked away, and heavily used by local Bruxellois, which is always a good sign. You MUST book ahead, and need to phone to secure a table, but it is well worth it. 30 varieties of Moules Frites make this a must for any fans of Moules, but there is plenty of other things to tempt too, as well as an impressive range of Belgian beers. I had the the moules in a creamed curry sauce, and my wife went for the Moules Ardennais, with lardons and mushrooms. Both were spectacular ! I then had Tiramisu Bruxellois, whilst my wife had Creme Brulee, which were very good. Altogether, 2 courses with drinks and coffees came to about €100. Highly Recommend, and thank you !

Very good restaurant, 25 minutes from Manneken Pis. Mussels recipes that can only satisfy the most demanding Great staff: pleasant, polite, very attentive to us Homemade fries with homemade mayonnaise Neat atmosphere in the restaurant We had lunch on the covered terrace part of the restaurant (there were 10 of us) I recommend for a real mussels/fries in Brussels Little originality the house has given you a homemade bib for the mussels đź‘Ť

Just had dinner there and it was great. Welcomed with bubbles by very kind staff. They offer a typical Brussels menu + mussels prepared in 30 different ways. We had carpaccio, duck breast and mussels marinière with home made french fries and finished with a café glacé. Everything was excellent. Prices are really reasonable. We recommend and we will certainly return.

Simply delicious meal. Mussels - oh the mussels - (we had one dish with tarragon and another with mushroom and bacon) after starting with oysters and beef carpaccio. All super yummy. Friendly staff and good service. 100% recommend.

This was just around the corner from our hotel. We were unable to get a reservation the first night but made one for night two. Happy we did. We sat out back in the courtyard and it was fabulous. We both got the prix fix menu. The mussels were very good and although the foie gras was a pate (not listed as such) it was still amazing. (toasted Melba may have been better than toasted white bread) SO MUCH FOOD. We had to walk it off after or I wouldn't have been able roll over in bed. The staff were plentiful and very attentive. Not the more formal dinner we were looking for but glad we found this place.

Nice meal with affordable price. I didn’t know this place is famous as mussel, so if I have a chance I will definitely visit again to taste it. All dishes were wonderful. Only one thing it could be better is list of beer

Have been coming to this very popular restaurant for many years. First trip back post covid and the food and ambience were still as good. Fixed price menu at €36 for three courses - the moules (mussels) were fabulous. It is imperative that you book as it is extremely busy, particularly the weekends. Staff friendly and always attentive.
